By now, everyone has seen the Joe Biden political signs. I wondered about the significance of the letter "E" being printed in red and after my wife pointed this out to me, it makes sense. "Is it too much of a coincidence that the Biden for President logo has connections with socialist and communist remnants of an era from China’s history some 60 years ago? The three simple stripes that make up the letter “E” in Biden eerily callback to the “Three Red Banner” slogan from when China was building into a state in the late 1950s early 1960s..."

A series of pro-life banners of images of 11-week-old fetuses in the womb saw mere hours of daylight at the University of Southern California on Tuesday prior to being removed by the same university organization that had initially approved them. The light poles instead featured hand-written signs posted on them reading, “Women deserve the right to choose.” “It is unbelievable that USC removed all the posters that were put up around the school,” USC College Republicans member Jacob Ellenhorn told The College Fix. He noted that the banners went through the proper channels to obtain approval. -snip Monique Allard, USC’s assistant provost for student engagement, responded to...

The annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. took place Thursday, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, where hundreds of men, women and children from across the country gathered to rally for the rights of the unborn. Here are five pro-life banners the media wouldn’t dare to show you.

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — Members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors have taken aim at anti-abortion banners placed on busy Market Street. Supervisor David Campos and six other supervisors are supporting a resolution opposing the banners and questioning their legality. The banners were put up by Walk for Life West Coast, a San Francisco based anti-abortion group that holds an annual rally in the city, scheduled for January 25th in Civic Center Plaza. --SNIP-- Eva Muntean of Walk for Life said her group obtained a permit and met all the criteria for their banners. --SNIP-- Muntean said the resolution...

ST. PAUL, Minn.—A task force studying security at Minnesota's Capitol is starting a review of regulations for having firearms in the building. The Advisory Committee on Capitol Security has two hearings planned on the topic, the first coming Wednesday. Next week, the panel expects to take public testimony. People with proper permits and notice can have a gun with them in the Capitol and nearby buildings. Hundreds of people have declared their intention to do so since Minnesota last updated its handgun permit law. During last session's hearings on eventually unsuccessful gun legislation, some people showed up with their firearms...

Senators who support expanding criminal background checks for gun buyers said Tuesday that they intend to revive the legislation for a vote by this summer, though the measure won't be exactly the same as the one senators defeated a month ago. The Senate last month fell four votes shy of approving landmark, bipartisan legislation authored by Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., that would have widened background checks to include firearms bought at gun shows or over the internet. "Whenever the support and the time is right we will do it," Manchin said Tuesday. Senate Majority Whip...

We need you to once again show the Minnesota Legislature that real Minnesotans oppose infringements on Second Amendment rights! Senate Judiciary Committee chair Ron Latz, a consistent voice against gun rights, has scheduled three hearings next week to discuss the numerous gun control bills introduced this session. They hearing times are: · Thursday, Feb. 21, Noon to 2:30 p.m. · Thursday, Feb. 21, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. · Friday, Feb. 22, Noon to 6:00 p.m. While Senator Latz delayed public announcement of these hearings until Wednesday night, he apparently tipped off anti-rights groups early Wednesday morning! We don't know yet which bills will be heard when, but...

President Barack Obama is coming to Minneapolis on Monday, Feb. 4, to advance his proposals to reduce gun violence, which is a little bit like taking a boat out into the middle of the ocean to discuss the risk of fire in Joshua Tree National Park. Why doesn't he go to Chicago, where there is gun violence? And then, once in Chicago, why wouldn't he discuss that city's problem of gang violence? In fact, so long as he has the itch to take his bully pulpit on the road, Chicago is the natural, ultimate stop. Why, it is ground zero....

MILWAUKEE—Nearly as many Americans die from guns as from car crashes each year. We know plenty about the second problem and far less about the first. A scarcity of research on how to prevent gun violence has left policymakers shooting in the dark as they craft gun control measures without much evidence of what works. That could change with President Barack Obama's order Wednesday to ease research restrictions pushed through long ago by the gun lobby. The White House declared that a 1996 law banning use of money to "advocate or promote gun control" should not keep the Centers for...

The Democrats’ campaign against the Second Amendment is obvious and expected after the Sandy Hook shootings. But the gun grabbers are also getting some help from Bank of America. According to Joe Sirochman, owner of American Spirit Arms, the bank out of the blue on Dec. 18 decided to delay processing deposits, threatening his company’s operations. American Spirit, like other gun sellers, has seen a huge increase in online sales in recent months, up 500 percent, according to a Dec. 29 Facebook posting by Sirochman. The company has been a BofA customer for more than 10 years and had no...

Hats off the the NRA-ILA team for compiling this list. Here is what the NRA-ILA team had to say. The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.” Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions. Read more:...

We as a people seem to now be wondering if our Congress will ever do anything right. We saw the article posted by Tim Brown entitled, “Ten New Gun Bills Introduced On First Day of Congress”. We then began reading, only to see names that looked funny doing this, so we looked up to find out just who these people are that have placed such bills on the floor of the House. Strange to say, the first one by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) is purely due to what happened to her life. Her husband was shot back in 1993 and...

The city of St. Paul doesn’t have direct say over statewide gun laws, but that isn’t stopping city council members from calling for more gun control. At the Wednesday, Jan. 2 council meeting, they amended their annual request to lawmakers to include a crackdown on semi-automatic weapons and high capacity magazines. They join a chorus of municipal bodies, politicians and Hollywood celebrities clamoring for tighter gun laws in the wake of the horrific school shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Here’s a look at six proposals being mulled across the country. Some gun enthusiasts are dubious that a ban on semi-automatics would...

This divide has existed for decades, separating America into hostile camps of conservative vs. liberal, rural vs. urban. As the nation responds to the massacre of 20 children and six adults in Newtown, Conn., the gulf has rarely felt wider than now. After the gunman invaded an elementary school with a Bushmaster AR-15 semiautomatic rifle and magazines of 30 bullets each, there was a brief moment of unity amid the nation's grief. Across partisan divides, politicians said something must be done about weapons based upon military designs. Many wondered if even the National Rifle Association would adjust its staunch opposition...

After Hungerford, the British government banned semiautomatic rifles and brought shotguns—the last type of firearm that could be purchased with a simple show of fitness—under controls similar to those in place for pistols and rifles. Magazines were limited to two shells with a third in the chamber. Dunblane had a more dramatic impact. Hamilton had a firearm certificate, although according to the rules he should not have been granted one. A media frenzy coupled with an emotional campaign by parents of Dunblane resulted in the Firearms Act of 1998, which instituted a nearly complete ban on handguns. Owners of pistols...

Alongside a slew of Hollywood celebrities, mayors such as New York’s Michael Bloomberg, Chicago’s Rahm Emanuel and St. Paul’s own Chris Coleman are calling for more gun control and taking the NRA to task for calling for armed guards in every school. Coleman, a vice president of the National League of Cities, released the following statement on the Newtown, Conn. tragedy on Friday, Dec. 21. "On the day when we’re still burying children killed in Newtown, CT, the NRA has the audacity to say the answer is more guns and more violence that exposes our children to unprecedented dangers. As...

WASHINGTON—Lawmakers from both parties voiced their willingness Sunday to pursue some changes to the nation's gun laws, but adamant opposition from the National Rifle Association has made clear than any such effort will face significant obstacles. NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre dismissed efforts to revive a ban on assault weapons as a "phony piece of legislation" that's built on lies. Democratic lawmakers in Congress have become more adamant about the need for stricter gun laws since the shooting of 20 children and six teachers at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California is promising to push...

The NBC, ABC, and CBS morning shows on Monday all touted President Obama seemingly calling for more gun control during a Sunday night vigil for the victims of the Sandy Hook school shooting. NBC's Today provided the most hype as correspondent Lester Holt proclaimed: "While he offered words of comfort, he also laid down a political gauntlet....sketching the outlines of what amounted to a policy statement on gun violence." Holt acknowledged: "He did not utter the words 'gun control,' but his message could set the stage for such a debate." Speaking to co-host Savannah Guthrie later on the broadcast, Holt...
