Subject: “AND YOU ?? SUPPORT OUR TROOPS ??

This letter is in response to your editorial recently published in regards to Gloucesters few dozen supporters of Code Pink, and Cindy Sheehan’s gallery of anti Americans. But in all honesty, it is mostly directed to Ms Napier.

First, let me qualify part of this letter by letting you know I was with the “Gathering of Eagles” counter protest March 17th. After the protest at approximately 1800 hours, I was at a dinner at the “Orleans” restaurant in Arlington with approximately 200 people from three organizations. The organizations are TWS, ( A Marine Corps Organization), Move America Forward, and the Free Republic. While at dinner, one of the representatives received a phone call from a close friend of his who happens to work at the National Park Service in Washington, D.C. According to their closest estimation, rounded off in even numbers, the Gathering of Eagles had 30,000 counter protestors present, while the anti war protestors had approximately 6,500.

This letter is mainly directed to Ms Napier and anyone who thinks they can support the troops, but not the mission.

I would ask Ms Napier to play a pretend game with me. Lets pretend two things. Pretend that you have an 18 year old Combat Grunt Marine serving in Vietnam, and also pretend that in the 60’s, computer technology was where it is now in present day. I can only relate my pretend game to Vietnam, because that is where I served as a Combat Marine.

Lets pretend that your son just came off of a patrol or search and destoy mission, that he was in the bush, humpping his butt off on for hours on end. He’s tired, sweaty and nasty, but he has a pretty nice little hooch to go back to and shower and get on the computer and on the internet. He gets online and starts reading some sites in regards to your war protests, see’s dummies of soldiers being burned, sees signs that read, “We support our troops, when they shoot their Officers”. And yes, your groups that were in Washington carry those kinds of signs. You know it and I know it so don’t try to fool your Gloucester County friends. Anyway, after he gets off duty, he is assigned to man a LP (Listening Post) to protect their perimeter from the enemy that night. The night is pitch black. He can’t see his hand in front of his face. He is in a shallow, muddy, partly water filled fighting hole. All he can hear is some jungle sounds, and his own breathing and he breathes shallow and quietly because he knows in this darkness the enemy can crawl right up to within one foot of him without knowing it through the thick brush. The only thing protecting your son, is the dirty, grungy, stinking, Marine on the other side of the fighting hole three or four feet away. He’s being quiet too. He has four mosquitos biting his swollen lips but he won’t even brush them off, for fear of making a swishing sound with his hand. He just lets them sit there and suck blood until they burst, and then lets the blood run down his chin. But he is the only thing protecting your son. But wait. His mind isn’t on his mission, which is to protect your son, and the rest of the brave warriors in the Command Post.

Instead he is thinking about what he too, saw on the internet. What am I doing here ? Why should I be over here when a large part of Americans think our Country is wrong and that are not Warriors, but baby killers, and war mongers. Maybe Cindy Sheehan is right. Maybe Susan Sarandon is right. Maybe Sean Penn is right. Damn, I’m a fool.

“Damn, I’m a fool”… was this grungy Marines last thought. Because instead of concentrating on protecting his brothers and your son a few feet away, his mind was on your type of anti war venom, and one of the enemy ran a bayonet thru his throat as quietly as possible. Oh, by the way, your son is dead too. You killed him Ms Napier. Not the enemy. YOU DID. You took that Marines mind off his mission with your “aid and abed the enemy rhetoric”.

I have a very good friend in Gloucester who asked me to take a look at the article in your paper. I used to live in Mathews, but thank God I moved to an area where 95% of the folks up here support the troops and their mission.

By the way, there were no hoodlums or misfits in DC on St Patricks Day. What you saw was a group of Proud Americans, who fully support the troops and their mission. Since you seem intent on verbally sodomizing our brave warriors, and veterans all from our rear flank, you could have at least had the courtesy of asking us, “Was it good for you?”

If you go over there, as just a single Veteran to visit your WALL, then you don't have to have a permit...I've gone to several of these, and ain't never worried about a permit...there is no law against, or permit needed for as many veterans as you want to, in order to go visit the wall....if there are organizations there with permits, and it makes you feel better or more legal, then I'm sure they will let you sign on with them.....in other words, don't let not having a permit stop you from being at "your" wall on March 17th.........

To all that have replied.....thanks, and I hope to see a bunch there.......I will pass this info around to all I know......

We are not going to allow this to happen if we have to stand 20 deep around the WALL.

This was posted on another group. In case you think it's of little importance, they are formimg up at THE WALL! In case you think these are a bunch of loonies with nothing better to do on St. Patrick\'s Day, think again. Here is a link to the groups involved (They are NOT the Boy Scouts) and to their website. It is my opinion that it is time to plan a St. Patricks Day Road Trip, and Lock & Load, at least in the verbal sense and protect a very Sacred and Special Place. I am not saying we should express any opinion on the war, that is for each of us to decide.

What I am saying is how many of us want Jane Fonda, Cindy Sheehan, FMLN (Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front) USA, Vietnam Veterans Against the War Anti-Imperialist, Welfare Warriors, All India Anti-imperialist Forum, Muslim Student Association West, Berkeley Fellowship UU\'s Social Justice, Gay Liberation Network - Chicago; B. Ross Ashley co-founder Union of American Exiles-1968* Toronto, and hundreds of other far left, Anti American Organizations to use The Wall as a focal point for their own Private Agendas? Yes, we all served to protect their Freedom of Speech, but if their oblivious use of this Sacred Ground to garner more Media Coverage goes un-challenged, surely the Spirits of our Dead Brothers and Sisters on The Wall will cry out in pain.

On March 17, 2007, the 4th anniversary of the start of the criminal invasion of Iraq, tens of thousands of people from around the country will descend on the Pentagon in a mass demonstration to demand: U.S. Out of Iraq Now! 2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War. The message of the 1967 march was \"From Protest to Resistance,\" and marked a turning point in the development of a countrywide mass movement.

In the coming days and weeks, thousands of organizations and individuals will begin mobilizing for the upcoming March on the Pentagon. Organizing committees and transportation centers are being established to bring people to the March on the Pentagon.

The March 17 demonstration will assemble at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial (Constitution Gardens) at 12 noon in Washington, D.C.and march to the Pentagon.

Thanks for being who you were and thanks for helping me with my fight with not only the Veterans Administration but with some other issues in my life....I didn't share the same fightin hole with you in Nam, but I sure as hell know if I had, my six would o been more than covered !!! I was talking to A Nam bro o mine last night and told him that something had been bothering me since DC and I wanted to write something about it. I thought I wouldn't because some o you bro's might want to have the men with the nets come get me. After I told Tom my theory, he asked me if "I had a lawyer". I said no. Why?? He said because he was going to sue me for palagerism because he was telling his son Ryan and Uncle Bob the same exact thing Friday night. I asked him to write our theory for us but I decided to go ahead myself. I can't word things like TT but here goes. He said to call it the Ding Dong and Dane Theory. I don't know how you feel about it but here goes...

THE THEORY

Well, I’m back from DC. I want to thank the Marines and Doc’s that joined me there to counter protest the anti war protestors. We stood proud across from Marine Barracks to greet these protestors right before their march ended at the Naval Shipyard.

I have developed a new thought process since being there that may change me for a long time. While most of the bro’s I was with exchanged obcenities with these scumbag’s, I never hardly uttered a word. I watched and looked and stared. I wanted to remember every face that passed me by. Then it happened. I noticed they all basically traveled in groups that they came with. As each anti American flag passed by such as the PLO and the Hezzbollah flags it came very clear to me that these protests are going to become more and more volitile. Why ?? Its really very simple. The largest majority of the protestors that were marching with these flags were young, anglo saxon Americans ranging in age from 15 to 21. There were not “College Students”. They were of the “gang” or “Thug” species. It was very apparent. It proved to me that we ARE at WAR right here in our own Country and that when George Bush does it the button, these protests and other activities around our Country are going to get real real ugly.
My theory is that the Terrorists that are here in our Country are going to arm these young American men, give them weapons and turn them loose on the street. The terrorists are going to wage war on us right here in America with our own young men that are being led down a path of death and destruction by them. Don’t believe me ?? Just look at all the young 12, 13, 14, 15 year aged kids walking the streets right now that will pop your ass with a gun for looking at them wrong. Well, what do you think their attitude will be if they are given a few bucks for video games and drugs and a “free” automatic weapon or explosives to boot.

These will no longer be PEACE protests after George hits the button. This may very well turn into a “Revolution”.....I’m telling you folks, I was there. I saw them. I looked deep into their eyes. These Young men are ready to pull the trigger at the drop of a hat. I hope it don’t happen, but remember when it does........YOU HEARD IT HERE !!!!

Tonk, I hope you don't mind my replying to this post to say something bout the deal in DC. This is about the most confuzin Gawd damn website forum i ever been in. I just wanted to thank my Bro "Joel Kernodle" for bein who he is and for watchin my 6 in DC while I watched his. Also wanted to thank my other Marine Corps and Navy Corpmen Doc's that were there. Thanks fer inviting us to that dinner Friday night at the "Orleans House" and I especialy want to thank "Frank Davis" for his hospitality. Something you people ought to know about me before we possibly hook up again is that:

1. I ain't no republican
2. I ain't no democrap
3. I ain't no libertarian
4. I ain't no George Bush fan

7. I am a Proud American Marine Corps Vietnam Vet

I do think we should wage war on that scumbag in Iraq for being partially involved in the 9/11 deal and funding other terrorist around the world and for killing about 3 million of his own people !! He is a threat and I think of him no more than being a flie. I kill flies cuz the eat sh!t and bother people.
Before I get nailed here the reason I don't like George Bush and would never vote for the sumb!tch is he is basically a "Draft Dodger" just like Bill Clinton wuz. When it was about time for his Air Guard unit to go to Nam, he got lost for about a year and I reckon he wuz hiding behind money !!! I do respect him as the CIC, but that is it !!!

Well I just wanted to thank the Freeper's that got in touch with my bro, Joel (Pointman Herc) Kernodle and gave us the heads up on the ins and outs of protesting in DC. It looks like we've hooked up with ya'll officially now for the January 18th gig. We are spending every free minute sending out emails to Marine Corps Forums, websites, organizations, all the Military Motorcycle clubs, Rolling Thunder, and many more. At this point I can't say if we can gather 100, 1000 or 10,000. All I know is that I'm ready and so is alot o other Combat Marine Vietnam Vets we know. Just hope they all show. We're pumped !! This sh!t might happen on our watch, but it ain't gonna happen without us being there to have our say !! Of course, we were saddened to hear "No Weapons" allowed....Ya'll want to take the fun out of this event !! OK OK...no weapons except our attitudes !! Don't know what a DC chapter POD is...all I can tell you is we're looking for a crowd at the "Brothers of Nam" Statue near our Wall at 0900, January 18th...where it goes from there I'm not sure. Our first mission is to keep these scumbags away from our Memorials...such as Our Wall, the "Iwo Jima" Statue, etc......sorry for the late notice, and I know there are better organizers out there than me, cuz I can't even organize my scivvie drawer correctly....LMAO....Hope to see many patriots there.....
