Come to think of it, what has RonPaul the Liebertarian ever actually accomplished?

Having integrity and a consistent voting record that demonstrates opposition to massive government. No other Republican politician can claim to have anything close to that. The 'conservatives' just continue to grow government the way they like it.

As usual, Rep. Paul is absolutely correct.

Yes. The Republicans are false opposition. If GW Bush would have proposed this legislation, the GOP would have supported it. No matter who wins, the Government wins. All of us know that even if they get massive majorities in both houses they will do nothing to roll back this bill. They might give lip service to it but ultimately they will continue to gorge the beast. Anyone who supports the GOP as the 'conservative' party in this country should ask themselves if government grew or shrank during GW Bush's presidency when they had majorities in both houses. Did the GOP do away with the Department of Education? No. Did they get rid of any of the Departments? No. In fact, they added the office of 'Homeland Security' which has been horrific.

Don’t worry. Paul will be reelected in a landslide just like in every other election. He is a true hero and the only real opponent of Obama’s Wilsonian foreign policy. Those conservatives who support Obama’s Afghan War are his president’s best friends.....despite their claims to oppose him.

Indeed. What Stein and Keyes are really doing is to channel actual anti-big government feeling away from someone who is really anti-big government and attempt to marginalize him. Which is why Stein slimed Ron Paul with the 'Anti-Semite' accusation which had nothing to do with the discussion at hand. Stein is so anti-big gov that he backed Al Franken for Senate. But Ron Paul is the problem....... If they had their way we would continue to build the global empire that is bankrupting the country all the while inviting the world to immigrate here and do nothing about the growth of the state. When Republicans and Democrats finally collapse the country and we devolve into a balkanized police state neocons like Stein and Keyes will have 50% of the blame.

Correct. It is unfortunate that the Republicans still claim to represent the Right. They are not on the Right. They are big government, big spending, open borders, imperial warriors. Had McCain won we would still be on the road to Socialism since Bush placed us firmly on it but we would not go as far as we are now.

The Right needs to abandon the GOP. The GOP is bought and paid for. There needs to be a movement established outside of the Washington GOP. They need to loudly proclaim the insanity that the Dems are pushing and the GOP is helping along.

Steele demonstrates that the Republican Party is dead. The party leadership holds the actual voters in contempt. They want very badly for the left to like them.

There is no reason that Steele should be the head of the party. He is an affirmative action leader. He also demonstrates the idiotic notion that if you put blacks in leadership roles that blacks will therefore vote for you.

Here's a novel idea. Put people in leadership positions that openly state that we need:

Economic sanity. NAFTA and other free trade agreements have destroyed the economic base of this country. We need to re-build and tell the free traders to kick rocks.

End illegal immigration.

Privatize education.

Follow the constitution.

Reduce government spending.

Let's face it, the GOP has lost a huge amount of credibility because when they had power they spent like drunken sailors just as the democrats did. They got spanked in 2006 and 2008 and what is their response? More of the same that got them spanked and to have a man who has no credentials for leadership to take over as your leader. Why? Because he is black. Silly. For a long time Republicans have played the 'We are the democrats lite' game. Maybe if they actually run as and govern as conservatives they just might return to power. I'm not really sure I want that because God forbid they might actually elect another Bush.

In war people die including civilians. That is not the same as targeting specific civilians even in your own and allied countries for extermination.

I quite agree. I was recently reading 'Mere Christianity' by CS Lewis. He mentioned the Nazi crimes and discussed how Jews and Poles were subject to them. I thought 'How many people even know what happened to Poles during the Second World War'. Very few people. Unfortunately in modern discourse, some victims are more victims than others.
