On Nov. 18, U.S. Magistrate Judge Valerie K. Couch released previously sealed records related to the FBI/Joint Terrorism Task Force search of Oklahoma University bomber Joel Hinrichs' apartment, his e-mail account and nine OU computers. I obtained the nearly 350 pages of unsealed court documents just before Thanksgiving last week and reviewed them over the weekend (a big thank you to Cheryl in Judge Couch's office and TaraLeigh Teupker of Business Courier Service of Oklahoma City for their prompt responses and assistance). It would have been nice if an MSM outlet with boundless time, resources, and manpower--say, CBS News--had made...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Uniforms for airline ground crews were among items stolen from a truck earlier this month, the FBI said Wednesday. FBI spokesman Jeff Lanza said there was no indication the thieves stole the uniforms to gain access to an airport. Airport authorities and the Federal Aviation Administration have been notified as a precaution, he said. ``We believe this is the work of thieves, not terrorists,'' Lanza said. A truck belonging to the uniform company, Cintas, was stolen May 4 in downtown Kansas City. The truck was found a day later, but the cargo, including airport uniforms...

WASHINGTON - Taking his cue from the Drudge Report, an East Valley congressman is proposing an easy-to-remember central government Web site that Americans can use to report suspicious activity that they believe could be terrorist-related. Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., has introduced legislation that would create an emergency information address at www.911.gov on the Internet. Flake said he hopes the Web site would become the government equivalent of the Drudge Report. Matt Drudge's popular gossip site that features constantly updated links to breaking news stories published elsewhere on the Internet. The proposed www.911.gov site could, for example, provide links to CIA, ...

After the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995, the Left moved quickly to use it as an excuse to exact draconian federal gun control. Fortunately, saner heads prevailed by showing that no new gun control laws would have been the slightest deterrent to that tragedy. In the wake of the World Trade Center disaster, we certainly need defensive measures to prevent another occurrence and to ensure the safety of air travel, as well as the offensive measures already initiated by President Bush. But confiscating pocket knives and sewing scissors from little old ladies will do nothing to fill the now-empty planes ...

It's time to bring back the old guard. During the early years of the Clinton administration (as I recall), 24 senior military officers planned to retire en masse in protest of the clintonista agenda. They were told that they would be demoted and stripped of all benefits unless they quietly retired over a several month period. In the meantime, slick willy promoted to the highest military commanders of the land "lickspittle lackeys" who would march to his drum. Now we are faced with a real military dilemma; how do we fight a war against terrorism when the military leadership is a bunch ...

The Liddy Files Received via email from Ted Handler and read on the air September 28, 2001: Gentlemen, this was written by a man's man. He served as a Marine in Vietnam and was wounded rather badly. He has a way with words. Pass it on. "Cowards... nope. 'Jacking a jet and driving it into a high-rise at 300 knots.... no, not cowards. I wouldn't do it. They don't have an air force so they used our training and our planes, and with great execution ... far better that our fiasco in the desert to save the hostages in Iran. ...

A Lake Havasu City man, armed with a 9mm handgun, thwarted a quartet of suspected burglars -- one of them carrying a loaded shotgun -- as they allegedly broke into his Arizona Court residence early Tuesday. Lake Havasu City police arrested four suspects, one adult and three juveniles, after they allegedly kicked open the door of the victim's residence and entered it, according to Lt. Mike Reynolds, who is in charge of investigations. Reynolds said the man heard the suspects kick in the door, then called out from a hallway. Two of the suspects fled, while the resident detained the ...

LINK TO ARTICLE In the real world of domestic politics, Republicans have a tougher road to hoe than Democrats. So, why do they always want to make it harder on themselves? They begin the battle for ideas with several PR strikes against them, so they have to be just a little bit smarter when it comes to selling their ideas. The trouble is, they aren't. Just think about it. Republicans are always depicted as mean-spirited ogres, and the liberal press does everything it can to further that image. Instead of being properly portrayed as champions of liberty, Republicans are fraudulently ...

" . . . the public must also take more responsibility for its own disaster preparation . . ."Link Though North Carolina got ready for a strong hurricane, the volume of rain flabbergasted even weather forecasters. When the swirling brown waters from Hurricane Floyd spilled across Eastern North Carolina, neither the state nor its people were prepared for what would turn out to be the flood of the century: Forecasters had little experience with a storm as large as Floyd and said they couldn't foresee the degree of flooding that was to come. Residents, inexperienced with floodwaters, ventured into the ...

Link to Article Joseph de Courcy, editor of the well-respected journal Intelligence Digest reports this week: "While NATO congratulates itself on bombing the Serbs into submission, Israel's Mossad and other Middle Eastern intelligence sources have discovered that Kosovo was one humiliation too many for Russia. Now Moscow has agreed to back Saddam's secret plan of revenge. With this all-important Russian backing, Saddam is joining with hated Iran and Syria to launch one final war against Israel. Amazingly, Saddam will allow Iranian troops to cross Iraqi territory to join the attack on Israel. And to keep America from interfering, Moscow ...

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - ABC News' Sam Donaldson, whose piercing fog-horn voice, mop-top hairdo and dogged pursuit of American presidents made him a television news celebrity, is stepping down as the network's lead White House correspondent, a network spokeswoman said Tuesday. "Sam intends to leave the day-to-day coverage of the White House in the next couple of weeks, although he will still report from there on occasion, said ABC News spokeswoman Eileen Murphy in New York. Contrary to speculation, Donaldson's recent throat surgery to remove a benign polyp had "absolutely nothing" to do with his decision to change jobs, Murphy ...

COLOGNE, Germany — President Clinton will tour economically distressed parts of the United States from July 5 to 8 to call attention to the need for new investment in the rural and urban communities, the White House said Saturday. Clinton will be joined by a bipartisan delegation of business representatives and members of Congress on a trip that will take him across the country. White House spokesman Joe Lockhart, with Clinton in Germany during a European tour, said Clinton will begin his trip in the depressed Appalachia area of the Kentucky Highlands and then will travel to Clarksdale, Mississippi, a ...
