Multiple videos and images purportedly showing Hunter Biden engaging in sexual acts with several women and using drugs were uploaded on a Chinese digital video platform Saturday evening. The videos and images appear to be uploaded by a single user on GTV, with many of the photos seemingly from a third-party laptop. GTV, a subsidiary of GTV Media Group, was founded in April 2020 by Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui and Steve Bannon, a former senior adviser to President Trump. “U.S. presidential candidate Joe Biden is 100% controlled by the Chinese Communist Party as one of the most successful political instances...

BASH: But if you can help one child who has cancer, why wouldn’t you do it? REID: Why would we want to do that? I have 1,100 people at Nellis Air Force base that are sitting home. They have a few problems of their own. This is — to have someone of your intelligence to suggest such a thing maybe means you’re irresponsible and reckless –

Washington (CNN) – Supporters of a bipartisan compromise to expand background checks for guns sales currently don't have the 60 votes they will need to win approval of their amendment so a vote on the proposal - which was expected midweek - is unlikely before the end of the week, Sen. Joe Manchin, D-West Virginia, told CNN in an exclusive interview Monday. The vote is being pushed back so Manchin and others can build support for the controversial plan.

Cessna's announcement regarding 700 layoffs comes after months of tapering unemployment in Wichita. The regional Workforce Center says it hasn't recorded layoffs in the hundreds for months, and didn't expect anymore bulk job cuts as a result of this recession. But now, the center's gearing up to assist hundreds who are about to need help finding jobs. "It's draining emotionally, you know," said one Cessna worker who was recently called back to work after getting laid off months ago. "I had to make a whole lot of changes in my life and my family."

The popular tax break for mortgage interest, once considered untouchable, is falling under the scrutiny of policymakers and economic experts seeking ways to close huge deficits. Although Congress last year rejected the White House’s proposed cut to the amount wealthier taxpayers can deduct for home mortgage interest payments, the administration included it again in its 2010 budget — saying it could save $208 billion over the next decade.

For as long as the political fight took over the past year, the abbreviated review process on the health care legislation currently pending on President Obama’s desk is unquestionably going to result in some surprises — as happens with any piece of mashed-up legislation — both for the congressmen who voted for it and for the American people.

Posted by Erick Erickson (Profile) Wednesday, October 7th at 3:39PM EDT 91 Comments I am told quite reliably that in a meeting today on Capitol Hill, Republican Senators began to rapidly move toward concessions on health care because they are afraid they cannot hold their members. Some Republicans are now thinking of supporting a government program. Go to the action center and start calling. Already, Senate Democrats are looking to pass healthcare by attaching it to unrelated legislation — the back door Brian Darling has repeatedly warned us about. Republicans are starting to waver on this. Call now. Tell the...

At least 42 people have died in the icy arc of destruction that began in the Midwest. At least nine deaths were reported in Arkansas, six each in Texas and Missouri, three in Virginia, two each in Oklahoma, Indiana and West Virginia and one in Ohio. Most were blamed on hypothermia, traffic accidents and carbon monoxide poisoning from generators.

This is very interesting, considering the generally pro-Obama bump in most of the final polls. The final poll of Tarrance Battleground is 49-44, but when they allocate the undecideds, their prediction is... 50.2 percent Obama, 48.3 percent Obama, .9 percent Barr, .6 percent Nader. I think the McCain folks would prefer that to most of the other projections. It would mean that my projection from last night overestimated Obama.

WASHINGTON, DC - In a shocking reversal, the Alien has switched his endorsement from Barack Obama to John McCain. With major implications for the U.S. presidential election, political kingmaker the Alien has changed his endorsement amid furor. Both political camps are buzzing about the implications, as the Alien has correctly predicted the winning president in every election for the past 28 years. Ongoing investigation points to Cindy McCain as being the cause for this historic shift in allegiances.

Hot off the presses, er, phones, a bunch of Strategic Vision polls that for McCain are okay news, good news, good news, and not so bad news. In Georgia, the poll was of 800 likely voters. It shows John McCain with 51% to 45% for Barack Obama. In the Senate race it shows, Saxby Chambliss with 46% to 44% for Jim Martin. In Florida the poll was of 1200 likely voters. It shows John McCain with 48% and Barack Obama with 46%. In Ohio the poll was of 1200 likely voters, it shows John McCain with 48% and Barack Obama...

Can we trust the polls this year? That's a question many people have been asking as we approach the end of this long, long presidential campaign. As a recovering pollster and continuing poll consumer, my answer is yes -- with qualifications.

PORTLAND, Ore. - Authorities have arrested two men after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a 4-foot by 8-foot campaign sign for Republican presidential candidate John McCain in a southeast Portland yard. Karen Scrutton said she was asleep inside her home at 7956 S.E. 17th Ave. in the Sellwood neighborhood when she saw her sign go up in flames after 1 a.m. "I screamed upstairs to my husband, 'Jean! Jean!" she said. A neighbor heard a crash and chased off one of the suspects. Jean Scrutton said his son-in-law found another suspect not far away. Not long after, investigators picked...

THE New York Times's explanation of its decision to report, after what it said was a one-year delay, that the National Security Agency is eavesdropping domestically without court-approved warrants was woefully inadequate. And I have had unusual difficulty getting a better explanation for readers, despite the paper's repeated pledges of greater transparency...................

The American Spectator blog today has an interesting tidbit about Hillary already setting up her ducks for a run in 2008. This is no surprise of course, and I all can do is salivate at the real potential of the Democrats being stupid enough to nominate her. The northeastern-liberal-with-lots-of-baggage type of candidate is a sure fire winner. Heh. But on the Republican side, the water is not as clear. Ken Mehlman, Bush's campaign manager and nominee for the new RNC chairmanship, listed several candidate possibilities on yesterdays Sean Hannity show. The list included Rudy Giuliani, George Pataki, George Allen, Bill...

While zipping through the channels of DirecTV tonight, I landed upon Hardball. I must confess that I hate MSNBC. But I heard Chris Matthews say that they were going to try to analyze the media coverage of the last 2 years. I had hoped this would provide me an opportunity to wallow in their misery. On his panel, he had Pat Buchanan, Kristina Van der something (the chick from The Nation), Debra Saunders from The San Francisco Chronicle, Ron Reagan, and Evan Thomas from Newsweek. Five liberals and one token moderate whack job "conservative". This segment had fairness written all...

John King and all the suicidal liberals at CNN are whining on air about how it is now the Presidents' responsibility to reach out to Democrats. That's horse doo doo! The Republicans have no responsibility to "reach out" or "include" Democrats. ITS THE DEMOCRATS WHO HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO CHANGE! But Democrats are forever unable to take the high road. In fact, the low road is too high a stretch for them. No pity here. Suffer, liberals.
