They Should be Ashamed!
Today, the Gold Star Father of Ty Woods and the Gold Star Mother of Shawn Smith came to Washington, DC, and sat all day through hearings trying to get the answers to questions they have about the death of their Sons. They also came so that they could be heard. Their testimony came later in the day, after House members questioned Admiral Mullen and Ambassador Pickering.
They sat patiently and they endured some pretty “careless” comments made by some Democrat house members.
Nothing, however, was as appalling as what most of the Democrat members did when they were done questioning the Ambassador and the Admiral.
They got up and they left the chamber! Only 2 Democrats stayed to talk to Mr. Woods and Ms. Smith and hear what they had to say!
You know, my mama use to say, people will tell you what you want to hear all day long, but just watch what they do, that tells you everything you need to know about them!
The Democrats who left the chamber today without listening to what these Gold Star parents had to say told me everything I need to know about them. They told me, with their actions, that they don’t care at all about these parents whose Sons were abandoned in Benghazi!!! They were there to provide “smoke and mirrors” and that is what they did.
God Bless John Boehner and all the Republicans for their relentless pursuit of the truth! Congressman Issa apologized that it is taking so long to get to the truth, but they are determined to get the answers these Gold Star parents and the American people deserve to know! As Mr. Woods stated, the voters need to know the answers so they can protect their freedom, the very precious freedom his Son died fighting for!
