Unfortunately he is my Rep. He has lied to us throughout his entire career while representing ILL 16. He has now been censored by every Republican Committee in this district and EVEN BY HIS OWN PARENTS! This next primary is going to be brutal for him.

Adam is in BIG trouble in his district (IL-16). he has been censored by every county Republican Committee AND his own family! He has completely turned from all the promises and commitments he made to us. Worse - the rumors are that due to the population loss in Illinois, his district is a strong candidate to be eliminated due to the way it was gerrymandered. Good riddance to a lousy lying politician.

Kinzinger is my Rep. He started talking like this right after Trump's speech. I tried to call his office locally and in Washington. NO ANSWER for almost 3 weeks. He is afraid of his constitutes and wont face them. Instead he goes on the MSM were they encourage him for his anti-Trump statement. He is a coward and can not be trusted to keep his word.

I’ve lived in Illinois all my life. Biggest mistake I made was not getting a job with the State as soon as I got out of school. I’d be living on easy street right now if I had done that back then.

I used to buy all my spices at Penzeys as they are good. But after the election he said the “anyone who voted for Trump is a racist.” I have 3 multi-race grand kids. I called and asked him to come to my house and say that in my backyard. I'm still waiting. In the mean time I'm buying my spices at other places. Hopefully he will go out of business soon, in spite of this article.

I am a constituent of Turban. Called his DC office about 2 hours ago. The receptionist told me he had released the emails to the Capital Police today. Let’s see the MSM can confirm this and that no “editing” had been done to them prior to release.

I called my Congressman, Adam Kinzinger (R - Ill 16) DC office yesterday to ask, “What is my Representative planning to do to prevent Obama from ceding control of the Internet’s ICANN group to the UN?” They had no idea what this is about or the impact it will have on our freedoms. Most of the current Congress seem to be globalists who are intentionally destroying the USA.

You’re right The 16th District was gerrymandered after the 2010 census, so the 1st election after that was in 2012. In spite of the dates, David J. Hale Jr. needs to get elected on March 18th to replace Kinzinger.

Manzullo’s 16th District was gerrymandered in 2010, which allowed Kinzinger to expand into northern Illinois. He flooded the area with slick 4-color ads and TV spots claiming to “The Tea Party Candidate”. His primary campaign was expensive. He LIED to us. The money had to come from Cook county RINOs. Now, he rarely shows his face in the Rockford area and is doing nothing to assist the manufacturing base here. His Tea Party rating was close to 50% the last time I looked. On March 18 we all need to vote for David j. Hale, Jr. to rid ourselves of Kinzinger.

  • The great gluten-free scam

My wife was diagnosed with celiac disease in the late 90’s. The Mayo Clinic told us “Celiac disease is an immune reaction to eating gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley and rye. Eating gluten triggers an immune response in your small intestine. Over time, this reaction produces inflammation that damages the small intestine’s lining and prevents absorption of some nutrients (malabsorption). The intestinal damage can cause weight loss, bloating and sometimes diarrhea. Eventually, your brain, nervous system, bones, liver and other organs can be deprived of vital nourishment.”
Some may think this is just the newest trendy diet fad. However, for celiacs this is a matter of life and death. It is sad that misinformed journalists are attempting to trivialize an important medical need of a small percentage of the population. For those that really need gluten free food, which is NOT the tastiest on the market, the recent surge in product availability is a great help.

You think I have not done that? What you get is someone wanting you to work in NYC or some other large metro area for $25 - $30 /hour on a 3 month contract doing “project coordination” work with an offshore development site as opposed to “project management”.

In the end I always hear “over qualified”.

BTW - I have a home, family, kids and grandkids. I’m not opposed to living in cheap rooms but I won’t do it 1,000 miles away in NYC for $25/hr.

I am an unemployed IT project manager with all the required certifications. I have made almost 600 contacts for a new position over the past 12 months with no offers so far. Right now, even with unemployment benefits, I have used up all my savings and I am now using equity in my house to pay for necessities like utilities, food, and mortgage.

You obviously do not understand that unemployment is paid by employers and is funded in part by a portion of the salary you earn. It is part of the “overhead costs” a company incurs when you are employed by them. It is NOT “welfare” as you erroneously claim. As someone who is needs unemployment right now I find your accusation that these benefits are “welfare” to be very inappropriate and misinformed.

That I am now competing for positions against 10 or more equally qualified professionals is an indication that the BHO has so ruined the business climate in this country that no business is interested in expanding or investing in their IT systems to garner a larger market share or improve internal operations.

It sounds like you are still working. If so good for you. But if that ever changes you will quickly learn that unemployment is a necessary benefit (NOT welfare) you will need to see you through to the next job you can find.

We’ve got a picture of him going over. It looks like we caught the picture on the 2nd or 3rd roll. In the end he just walked away from it. Those cars are amazing!

You’re right. The crowds got bigger each year. Indy was a great place; lots if history, easy access, plenty of hotels and restaurants, etc. I think Road America in Wisconsin would be a more interesting track as it looks a lot like Spa and its 4 miles long, but they don’t have the infrastructure around there to support an F1 event. We used to go there for the old CanAm and SCCA National races.

Bernie, for some reason, really hates the US of A. Maybe he’s friends with our new “fearless leader”.

I am an F1 fan. Also any sports car road racing. We had seats for the F1 races at Indy right at Turn 1 (for F1 - not the oval). I’d love to see any NASCAR “cab driver” try to drive a full F1 race and still be able to get out of car own their own at the end. The NASCAR guys could never handle the high G-loads nor do they have the reaction skills to drive competitively in F1.

I am very hopeful that Peter Winsor and Team USF1 does well this season. Now, if only someone can talk Bernie into bringing F1 back to the US soon.

    If they want REAL racing:

    1. Run modern engines. I don’t know that you can even buy a car anymore with a carbureted push rod engine. What’s “stock” about motors from the 60’s?
    2. Get rid of the ovals as they are BORING! Alter the tracks so they have to turn right as well as left.
    3. Put in sharp turns so we can see who knows how to brake and accelerate.
    4. When it rains – change tires and keep racing.

  • Found Footage: The Story of Macintosh

    bobt7818 to Star Traveler

Thanks for posting. This brings back many memories. I worked for a company back then that spent many years (and mucho $) trying to integrate Macs into an IBM mainframe environment. It was a real bust because Jobs enforced a very rigid warranty rule that no one could open the Mac case to install an EBCIDIC (the IBM mainframe character collating sequence) to ANSI (the Mac character collating sequence). Nor could you directly attach a 3270 coax cable to the back of the machine. The coax connection had to go through a separate box with a phone cord going to the Mac.

In all his narcissist snake oil selling ways, Jobs forgot the most important issue: He was trying to replace the computing platforms of major businesses without providing any kind of a bridge to get from one place to the other. Likewise, he could never offer any large scale replacement for the major applications that the businesses needed to operate. There was never any incentive to install Macs due to the forced incompatibly issues. As a result Jobs ended up giving away Macs to art schools and creating a generation of graphic artists that only know the Mac platform and tools.

Meanwhile, IBM and Microsoft are still growing because Gates figured out a way to work with them – no against them.

BTW – A couple years ago Apple switched to Intel processors and now allows the boxes to run Windows.

I would love to attend but I am currently unemployed (Thanks Obama!) and parking in Chicago is expensive. Since I live a little north of Rockford can we meet someplace in the northwest suburbs around I-90? Please remember that there is much more to Illinois than just downtown Chicago.

I had a really good career under Bush. Now I've been unemployed since shortly after BHO took office. My mistake was that I never realized unemployment under Obama is better that working. I'm sooo thankful I've a whole got a decade of this to look forward to.
  • Heap of trouble - NASCAR has a big problem with Talladega

    bobt7818 to NormsRevenge

NASCAR only knows one thing - cars race in circles and ONLY turn left. They need to look at other racing venues to see how to easily control speeds.

The track at Le Mans, France, has a straight (the Mulsanne Straight) that is over 4 miles long. Fast cars like Audi, Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, etc. used to exceed 240 MPH for 24 hours on this section of track. A few years ago a car went air borne and flipped like happened Sunday. The fix was to add two chicanes to this section to force the cars to slow down before reaching top speed.

Maybe the easy fix is a couple chicanes at Talladega. Oh wait – that would cause the cars to use their brakes, turn to the right, and then accelerate. Probably can’t be done in a NASCAR “stock car”.
