The administration considers asking Obama for his college records is "preposterous" and akin to birther questions. Drags in Trump and every other bit of garbage to defend their refusal to release what is normal for candidates to release.

After President Obama’s decision to avoid the Wisconsin recall election, undercutting desperate union members who wanted to oust Governor Scott Walker, the AFL-CIO has announced that it will take money away from political candidates and instead put it into “infrastructure and advocacy,” according to AFL-CIO spokesman Josh Goldstein. “There will be less contributions to candidates.” That means that President Obama will receive less direct funding from the AFL-CIO than usual, but it doesn’t mean the AFL-CIO will be silent – it just means they’ll message independentlyof the Obama campaign. “This is not a slight at the president,” Goldstein said. The...

For years my husband and I have been researching our family histories. Today, after a long search, I was sent a picture of my great-grandparents tombstones which, is in parts written in Hebrew. I understand that it may be a prayer but it may also contain other information such as fathers names or other family information. If anyone could possibly look at the stone and translate it for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Medical question for you all. Yesterday, out of my own stupidity, I ended up in the Emergency Room with chest pains, rapid heart rate, super high blood pressure, lightheadedness and low blood sugar. We thought I was having a heart attack and Thank the Lord it was not. On Monday I had met with my GP and had asked him to take me off of one medication I've been on for about 6 months, and replace it with another. He was agreeable to this but did tell me I needed to taper off using the former medication and told me...

I need the assistance of my fellow Freepers. I'm looking to put together a group of comparison pictures that show the lengths the media and talking heads will go to downplay support for and attendance at Pro-American events, while adding support to the lefts positions. I'm trying to get as many pictures as possible of the following events. 1. Panoramic views from September 11, 2009 Freedom Works March on DC and/or other pictures that show the real crowd size. 2. Any images of counter-demonstrators from 9/11/09. 3. Panoramic and other images from yesterdays Restoring Honor rally that go to crowd...

Coddington Van Voorhees VII Intellectual Conservative At-Large Summer once again tiptoes in on crepe soles to the eastern extremities of Long Island; affording, as is its wont, fresh opportunities to enjoy the providence of nature and the financial acumen of one's forebears. Despite the looming spectre of global climate change the lawn is verdant and lush, and my gardener Hideo informs me the hibiscuses are in especially fine fettle. • RNC fails to report $7M in debt to FEC - Party treasurer faults Steele

The Republican National Committee failed to report more than $7 million in debt to the Federal Election Commission in recent months - a move that made its bottom line appear healthier than it is heading into the midterm elections and that also raises the prospect of a hefty fine. In a memo to RNC budget committee members, RNC Treasurer Randy Pullen on Tuesday accused Chairman Michael S. Steele and his chief of staff, Michael Leavitt, of trying to conceal the information from him by ordering staff not to communicate with the treasurer - a charge RNC officials deny. Mr. Pullen...

The White House has been fond of citing turning points lately, most recently when describing the administration's handling of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Now President Obama faces a turning point of his own — and not for the better. A new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll finds Obama's approval rating to be the lowest it's been since he took office 18 months ago. According to the poll, only 45 percent approve of the job Obama is doing in the White House, compared with 48 percent who disapprove. And the numbers only get worse from there: Sixty-two percent of respondents...

Days after Amy Bishop was indicted on a murder charge for the 1986 shotgun slaying of her 18-year-old brother in their Braintree home, she tried to kill herself in an Alabama jail where she has been held since allegedly going on a shooting rampage in February at the University of Alabama Huntsville. A source confirmed a report by WHNT television station in Alabama that Bishop, 45, attempted suicide at Huntsville/Madison County Metro Jail on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. She was treated at a local hospital, then returned to the jail. Bishop's attorney in Alabama could not immediately be reached.

Dear President Obama, I understand you may be looking to replace Rahm Emanuel as your chief of staff. I would like to humbly offer myself, yours truly, as his replacement. I will come to D.C. and clean up the mess that's been created around you. I will work for $1 a year. I will help the Dems on Capitol Hill find their spines and I will teach them how to nonviolently beat the Republicans to a pulp. And I will help you get done what the American people sent you there to do. I don't need much, just a cot...

For anyone who knows me and hubby Rafterman (Dave) personally or has ever clicked on my profile knows, to me, my dogs are furry children. Almost 12 years ago we rescued a beautiful Rottweiler,Sasha, from certain death at the Miami Humane Society. She was about two years old at time and from the minute we saw her, we knew she was meant to come home with us. A few months ago we learned she had developed pancreatitis which was causing her liver to shut down. We immediately began aggressive treatment. We had a few close calls but over time there...
