Tonight Brit Hume said that FOX News had approached the Cuban government to confirm or deny reports that the mother of Juan Miguel Gonzalez is being held in a detention center. The Cuban government refused to comment.Hume also said that FOX applied for visas in order to cover little Elian's return. The visas were denied by the Cubans who said that FOX does not report the news in a fair and balanced manner. Hume noted that NBC was granted visas and that CNN has a news bureau in Cuba.

I just cannot sit by any longer without speaking up. Am I the only person who was offended by John McCain speaking of "Al Sharpton on the Left and Pat Robertson on the Right"? On Fox News Sunday this morning it was reported that the Michigan state senator who started the DOGE group (Democrats Out to Get Engler) said on television that his group coordinated their efforts with the McCain campaign. This would be a direct violation of federal election law.In addition this would require the McCain campaign to include any expenditures made by the group as campaign expenditures in their FEC filing.When asked if the Bush campaign would file a charge against the McCain campaign, Bush strategist Karl Rove said they would wait until the McCain campaign made its next FEC filing before ...

Exit polls show about 49% Republicans, 51% Independents and Democrats. That's not good for Bush. It's neck and neck.

Michigan awards delegates by congressional district, with ten delegates awarded to the overall winner. There are sixteen congressional districts. Hypothetically speaking, Bush could win ten districts, McCain could win six districts, and McCain could win the overall vote because of heavy voting in those districts. That would give Bush 30 delegates and McCain 28. LOL! I think it's hilarious! It is not inconceivable that McCain could squeak by in the popular vote and lose in the delegate count. That's my two cents for the day.

Rush said on his show today that people are jumping onto the McCain bandwagon because they think he can win, while Bush can't. Fox News is saying that George Bush is having a strong showing in Delaware, and that without campaigning there, McCain is doing surprisingly well. They're also saying that Forbes performance is disappointing. In other words, it most likely will be a Bush win, followed by McCain with Forbes coming in third.
