(and rightly so, for the record). Any priest that removed even some of a boy's clothes and touched his private parts would be hauled up before a court in 2 seconds. Same for a teacher. These pat downs are lunacy. Anyone who really wants to smuggle junk on board will stick the stuff in a body cavity or in the one quart bag.

Figures that I would learn this from my wife (who heard it from another woman): A little girl asked her mother, "How did the human race appear?" The mother answered, "God made Adam and Eve and they had children, and so all mankind was made." Two days later the girl asked her father the same question. The father answered, "Many years ago there were monkeys from which the human race evolved." The confused girl returned to her mother and said, "Mom, how is it possible that you told me the human race was created by God, and Dad said they...

Looking at the pic of Obama on Drudge, is that a VW logo behind him? Little subliminal stuff going on? Don't know how to post a picture. Can anyone help with that?

Learn something every day. Per CNN, Lindsey Graham is one of the more conservative members of the Senate. They were discussing the growing chorus for nationalization of the banks and threw in this winning line: "But support for such a move seems to be growing, even among some Republicans. Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham, considered one of the Senate's more conservative members, said recently that nationalization could be an option..."

From the gang that couldn't shoot straight. http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=6866999 The system wants to auto-excerpt ".go.com" from the URL. You may need to add it to the link to make it run, but you can find the video by going to ABC news website and searching for "Caterpillar"

Just heard that prop 8 protesters are marching on the Mormon temple in west L.A. (It's on Santa Monica Blvd. about 2-3 miles west of West Hollywood). Can see Santa Monica Blvd. and the Temple outside my window...helicopters everywhere. The street is shut down...it's a major east-west commuter artery for West L.A. These guys get everything except one measure on the ballot and they shut down things. Pathetic petulent babies.

Doug McIntyre just reported that George Putnam passed away at 94. He was one of the pioneers of talk radio. I'm sure Doug From Upland (DFU) can give a lot more of the particulars, but here's some: A lifelong Democrat, but the the Ronald Reagan variety -- the party left him. Loved Ronnie, couldn't stand the Democratic party of the last few decades. At one point he was the highest paid anchor in the country. He told a funny story about Cronkite wanting to talk with about how he negotiated such an attractive package. Started doing a "talk-back" segment with...

Tried to leave a message with the RNC. Not surprised, but their voicemail box is full.

Just walked onto on a flight with Jesse Jackson. Wife just reached for the barf bag and we haven't even taken off. Honestly very low key...joking with the pilots. Doesn't seem to have a big entourage.

Hillary Clinton went to an elementary school in Ithaca, New York to talk about the world. After her talk she asked for questions. One little boy put up his hand, and the senator asked his name. "Kenneth." "What is your question, Kenneth?" "I have three questions: First - What happened to your medical health care plan? Second - Why would you run for president after your husband shamed the office? Third - What happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?" Just then the bell rings for recess. Hilary told the kids that she will...

Just perused the realclearpolitics state projections. Mason-Dixon just about nailed it...only missed Minnesota (had a 1% Bush lead). This assumes we win NM and IA. I don't think anyone else who projected as many states came anywhere close.

Ed Gillespie was on Laura Ingraham just before the top of the hour and said the following (paraphrased): "It's my understanding that 60 Minutes is working on a new October Surprise story since they missed the explosives story. Your audience should be prepared for this. Don't worry, we'll be out there Monday on the talk shows to respond." Any ideas what he's talking about?

Friday May 28, 2004--The latest Rasmussen Reports Presidential Tracking Poll shows Senator John F. Kerry with 45% of the vote and President George W. Bush earning 45%. The same results have been measured for six of the past eight days. Today's data is the first based entirely upon interviews were conducted after the President's Monday night speech. The results show that nothing has changed following that speech. The numerical bounce yesterday and today was exaggerated by the rounding process.

Just heard an interview on the radio. They're saying that Arnold always qualified his "no new taxes" pledge by stating that a calamity like a natural disaster would be an exception. Using the typical excuses that the localities need the car tax revenue (supposedly the car tax revenue is funneled to the local jurisdictions) to cover the costs of these disasters. I have no idea if this is being floated by Arnold's people or by the Democrats who are doing everything possible to maintain this confiscatory tax.

The city of Oceanside held a welcome home parade today for the Marines' 1MEF from Camp Pendelton...the 'Defenders of Freedom' Parade. An awesome day for thousands of us along the route.

King is interviewing that expert in electricity managemnet, Gray Davis, and Hillary Clinton (by phone). She basically said that this country needs to put a priority on upgrading the power distribution backbone and the Bush administration had un-done all of the good work that had gone on in the Clinton administration under Bill Richardson. Unbelievable...blaming Bush for this crisis. She has no shame.

Just to prove that there is an exception to every rule (in this case the rule is 'there's no such thing as a dumb question'): This was just on Fox. Don't know the last names, but the studio anchor named Katherine (sp?), short black hair, was talking to William (seen him a zillion times but can't think of his last name) embedded with the 3rd ID in Baghdad. He's outside of Saddam's palace, midday Sunday, where an army chaplain is leading a service for the troops... K: "I'm sure you've spoken to many members of the 3rd ID, and uhhh,...
