U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services said on Saturday that it has begun allowing certain young, undocumented immigrants to renew protections under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The move comes after U.S. District Judge William Alsup issued a preliminary injunction this week blocking President Trump's decision to end the Obama-era program, which granted temporary reprieve from deportation to hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children, often called "dreamers." "Due to a federal court order, USCIS has resumed accepting requests to renew a grant of deferred action under DACA," USCIS said in an update...

On Wednesday night, it was announced that Beckham beat out Rob Gronkowski and will be featured on Madden 16's cover. Without this catch, there's probably no way he tops Gronk in any kind of vote. SNIP So to sum up, congratulations are in order for Beckham, and if you believe in the Madden curse, be sure to congratulate Gronk for avoiding a catastrophe. Regardless of how you feel, it was somewhat disappointing to see Beckham react to the news without celebrating like he did when LeBron hit a game-winner.

Earlier this week, Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman wrote about the ongoing saga in Seattle in the wake of the Percy Harvin trade. Specifically, some Seahawks players think third-year quarterback Russell Wilson is too close to the front office, and doesn't always take blame for his mistakes. Then there's this: "There is also an element of race that needs to be discussed," Freeman wrote. "My feeling on this -- and it's backed up by several interviews with Seahawks players -- is that some of the black players think Wilson isn't black enough." We talked about Wilson's blackness on the Eye on...

Animal Lovers Still Squealing Over "Survivor" If a pig squeals Down Under, does anybody care? The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals do. The activist group on Thursday enlisted animal-protection authorities in Queensland, Australia, to review a tape of last week's boar-skewering installment of CBS' Survivor: The Australian Outback to determine whether any animal cruelty laws were broken. The episode sparked outcries among U.S. animal rights groups including the Ark Trust, the Humane Society and PETA, who labeled the killing gratuitous, and slammed the Darwinistic game show for using animals essentially as props. "We certainly don't think animals should ...

I allowed my 12 year old son to stay up and watch "Braveheart" with me, which always moves me. When it was over, I noticed his eyes were misting. I asked him why he was crying, and he told me that it was so sad that a man with nothing to lose had more honor than all those nobles with everything, and would so willingly give his life for his countrymen for THEIR (emphasis his) freedom. He then asked me why I was crying, and I told him that he had just given me the best thing he ever could, ...
