I'm sure Joe is somewhat dim,however, Patrick takes the cake. I remember during a debate about the Second Amendment he referred to the US Constitution as guaranteeing "Life,Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness".The really sad thing was he was in front of a school at the time.

There are some valid points in your post, but those feelings were also very strong north of the Mason Dixon line. Many Union states had prohibitions against any black residency(free or slave) written into their pre war constitutions. Those that did not simply codified the same sentiment in state law.

I thought the whole idea of the website was for a free flow of ideas regardless what you or anyone else thinks. Is that not what freedom is all about? Yes, I'm sure that many people evacuated and that there are also many good people in New Orleans. The venom is directed at the people who did not evacuate but could have but decided to loot, shot cops,blame the Republicans and Bush, demanded money THEN reelected Jefferson! It is also directed at Nagin and his droogies who continue blaming everyone else but see no fault in their own inaction.

I grew up in DC and I always had people taking shots at my town because we had a crackhead for a mayor or we had the highest murder rate in the world or a herd of bums driving away tourists and investors etc etc etc. I knew why they were angry and did not take it personally. So for the record God bless the Saints, the hard working God fearin citizens of Rock Ridge..err New Orleans.

The fact is that the citizens of NO (the majority) turned a blind eye for decades to their crumbling infrastructure because they would rather party and elect the most crooked vapid politicos possible. Then, when they get caught(after 4 days of warning) they scream about the government(read republicans and conservatives)leaving them to their fate. Quite frankly we should give the city back to the French as it more closely resembles a post colonial African piss-hole of economic despair than any American city and that was before Katrina.

launch an amphib assault on Taiwan. Taiwan's military is superior in technology and training. The Chicom's military upgrade has more to do with the N. Koreans, Russia, India and the Muslims in Iran and the Stans. The Chicom economy needs US dollars. China fears 2 things
