While many Bishops are to be commended for the stance they took on the attack on religious freedom posed by Obamacare, their response has been inadequate.

Remember the phrase “suppose they had a war and nobody came.” Well that describes the lackluster war that the Bishops called for. In many, many parishes there was only an insertion of a Bishop’s letter with no comments from the pulpit by pastor or priest. Contrast that with the during the Mass screening of an Archbishop’s Annual Appeal video.

I had expected that an effective campaign for the Fortnight for Freedom should have resulted in hundreds of thousands gathering at an approprite location in each and every diocese.

It is time to invite the cultural Catholics, laity and priests, to find another place to worship.

It is time to withdraw from secularized educational institutions that are Catholic in name only.

It is time to close hospitals and other social institutions that would otherwise violate conscience.

It is time for the Church to refuse to have offerings to God given the status of income tax deductions.

It is time that excommunication for many public leaders cease being a rarity.

It is time for all believers to promote school vouchers so that the children are not brainwashed eith secular values.

The recent issues concerning Obama's citizenship are certainly promising but let's not forget one of the issues from Berg's case:

If, in fact, Defendant Obama was born in Kenya, under the laws of the United States, in effect at the time of his birth, if a child was born abroad, and one parent was a U.S.citizen (which here, of course, would be Obama’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham), Obama’s mother would have had to have lived ten (10) years in the U.S., five (5) of which were after she reached the age of fourteen (14).

At the time of Obama’s birth, his mother was only eighteen (18), and therefore did not meet the residency requirements under the law to give her son (Obama) U.S. Citizenship.

I think that it may be most productive to focus on whether Obama lost his citizenship if indeed he ever had it.

The 4 BC presumed date of Herod’s death is based on a reference in Josephus to a 4 BC lunar eclipse seen in Jerusalem. There was another more striking lunar eclipse in 1 BC that others believe is the more likely benchmark. This eclipse would place Jesus birth in 2 BC

I’ve read that the Nicene Creed was originally issued in Greek and was called not the Latin Credo but the Greek Pisteo which means more to trust than simple belief.

Acts is part 2 to the Book of Luke.

Matthew and Mark's gospels were available to Luke so 40-60 AD for them is reasonble.
