Q: If it's true that bin Laden once worked for the CIA, what makes you so sure that he isn't still? Anne Busigin, Toronto, Canada BERGEN: This is one of those things where you cannot put it out of its misery. The story about bin Laden and the CIA -- that the CIA funded bin Laden or trained bin Laden -- is simply a folk myth. There's no evidence of this. In fact, there are very few things that bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and the U.S. government agree on. They all agree that they didn't have a relationship in the...

I was browsing Youtube looking for a video on the newly released NORAD tapes from 9/11. I'm a technical kind of guy and wanted to hear what the air defense conversations on 9/11 sounded like. But then I find out that there's a controversy about the timeline given to the 9/11 Commission, some people think that NORAD, the Pentagon etc were trying to make it look like they responded sooner. But the person who posted the video took it further. He is one of the "9/11 was an inside job" Moonbats. Oddly enough, "journalist" Keith Olbermann intros the story by...

2005-08-24) -- An internal White House memo, leaked today, indicates how President George Bush initially planned to address Cindy Sheehan's question: What "noble cause" did my son die for? The draft memo includes suggestions from White House communications staff, followed by several paragraphs apparently handwritten by the president. While handwriting experts from CBS News continue to pore over the document to verify its authenticity, here is the text of the president's alleged response to the grieving Mom whose protest has captured the hearts of America's journalists. Dear Mrs. Sheehan, You have asked me to identify the noble cause for which...

Some questions nobody's asking... yet. If Nick Berg was killed to avenge the honor and dignity of Iraqi prisoners, why was it done by a non-Iraqi-- Jordanian terrorist Abu Al-Zarqawi? Why didn't the Abu Ghraib abuse story cause millions of Iraqis to riot in the streets? There were a few hundred that protested for one day. Maybe most Iraqis realize who these prisoners were-- the same Saddam goons that made THEIR lives miserable! Some media "geniuses" (Sy Hersh, Chrissy Matthews, Dan RAther) say the photos were taken so the prisoners could be threatened with balckmail. Then why are the prisoners...

The Denver Post walter cronkite When secrecy protects a lie By Walter Cronkite Sunday, April 04, 2004 - The initial refusal of President Bush to let his national-security adviser appear under oath before the Sept. 11 Commission might have been in keeping with a principle followed by other presidents - the principle being, according to Bush, that calling his advisers to testify under oath is a congressional encroachment on the executive branch's turf. (Never mind that this commission is not a congressional body, but one he created and whose members he handpicked.) But standing on that principle has proved to...

<p>"The Americans think we are afraid while we recognise them as cowards," said the young man, the commander of this small band of fighters in this village. Humanist Manifestos I and II Humanist Manifesto I The time has come for widespread recognition of the radical changes in religious beliefs throughout the modern world. The time is past for mere revision of traditional attitudes. Science and economic change have disrupted the old beliefs. Religions the world over are under the necessity of coming to terms with new conditions created by a vastly increased knowledge and experience. In every field of human activity, the vital movement is now in the direction of a candid and explicit humanism. In order that religious humanism may be better understood we, the undersigned,...

I wathced This Week with George Stepanopolis and saw Fareed Zakaria say that General Boykins had referred to "Muslims as Satan." It flew past Georgie boy, he thought nothing of it. Here's my email to ABC: Did Fareed Zakaria deliberately distort what General Boykin said or is he just not that bright? He said that General Boykin was "going around talking about Muslims as Satan." General Boykin said that the enemy is not people (as he showed pictures of Saddam and Osama and Kim Jong Il) but Satan. Ephesians 6:12 says "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against...

I just saw actor Stephen Baldwin on Fox magazine (repeat coming at 2am EST) at a Christian event featuring evangelist Luis Palau and singer Jaci Velasquez. He was wearing a fish-logo Jesus hat and talking about the importance of events like this to reach young people for Christ! This is Alec Baldwin's brother. Anyone hear the current weather report from Hell?
