Anyone else happen to catch Mary Mapes on CNN's American Morning just now? It was much the same stuff we heard last night on Larry King; however she sounds a tad more bitter and combative today. She deeply resents being made the victim of a "drunken blogging brawl (because that's what it was)". Good people, this tippling-in-front-of-the-computer has to stop now. Just imagine how we could change America if we were all posting sober.

I was saying only yesterday that I haven't laid eyes on Larry O'Donnell since his absolute meltdown opposite Swiftboat Vet John O'Neill on Hannity & Colmes last week. Guess they let him out of Bellevue after the election. Al Franken is up next. Jonathan Alter of NEwsweek just concluded. Ben Stein is also coming up. This is the second time they will have tried to pass this in the past month---with zero input from the public, I might add. The Federal Aviation Administration is considering a ban on international flights landing in New York City on September 11 and the following day as well. Due concern over new terrorist attacks on the one-year anniversary of the World Trade Center attack, flights from oversees would be prohibited from flying over the city’s airspace or landing in local airports during certain hours on those two days. The initiative would not restrict any domestic flights, so would primarily affect Kennedy and Newark airports.
