Got a question for my fellow FReepers. I saw a social media post from an uber-liberal I know. In it, she made mention that the Salvation Army kettle drive was under way. She reminded her friends that they should NOT give anything to the SA because they were ant-LGBTQ+. Now, I seem to recall that (I think it was two or maybe three years ago) there was huge hue and cry from FR that we should not give to the SA bell ringers because the SA was PRO-LGBTQ+, according to some handout to the bell-ringing volunteers. As for me, there...

Just shortly after the news that one in three Burger King burgers sold in Belgium is meat-free, and in some locations even one in two, BK reveals that from now on, almost the entire Burger King range, including the popular classics, will be served on a plant-based basis in Austria. The fast-food giant has already demonstrated what the future could look like in an experiment in a restaurant in Vienna’s Margaretengürtel, where plant-based products became the new normal. Those who ordered without expressing a special request for “meat” received a veggie burger. And those who wanted to eat the popular...

Democrat Texas state Rep. James Talarico proudly boasted about receiving a Dr. Fauci ‘real life political action figure’ doll (with removable mask!) for Christmas Saturday, provoking the expected reactions from Fauci detractors and supporters. But former Trump 2020 communications director Tim Murtaugh posted a disturbing image from the Amazon page of the Fauci doll seller, FCTRY: A mock image of Fauci torturing President Trump who is seen strapped on a rack with an electrode cap on his head as if they were in a torture chamber, with Fauci pouring a purple (poison?) potion into a cup in front of Trump.

“If you want to leave, take good care, hope you make a lot of nice friends out there.” — From the song “Wild World” by Cat Stevens This is for those of you who’ve chosen to quit your jobs rather than submit to a vaccine mandate. Just last week, a nearly-30-year veteran of the San Jose Police Department surrendered his badge rather than comply with the city’s requirement that all employees be inoculated against COVID-19. He joins an Army lieutenant colonel, some airline employees,...
