  • [Wal-Mart] Profiting from Death?

I disagree, if the company paid the perimum, they took the risk, they should reap the profits. The employees estate didn't take any risk, why should they profit by the insurance. It does cost to replace workers. If an insurance company is willing to cover the employee, that should be betweent the Employer and the insurance company. Capitolisum works, leave the emotion out of it.

To say Jimmy is idealistic would be the understatement of the world. As a soldier in the 2nd inf in Korea, I ran PT with the president when he visited us. After he let the Cowards come back from canada, then he fired singlob (sp?), a great American hero. It took the Soviet invasion of Afgahastan to wake him up. He had cancelled the curse missle project, but brought it back after the invasion. He honestly believed he could trust the Ruskies. Now he is again so idealistic, I am suprized he isn't personally taking the prisnors in Cuba breakfest in bed! He's getting old, maybe God will call him soon and we just forget about him!

I agree 100%, If you've sent your children to all black school in Durham NC, you could experience, first hand, the "anger"....All we want is equality, but some want to be more equal than others. All we want are REPERATIONs, but we won't talk about Afrimative Action as a form of reperation. If I were a young black male, I would be angery too....that what I would learn form BTV, Jet and Eboney...that's what would be pushed on me every day!

Wake up, the ACLU won't be happy until all Americans live in the desert in bamboo huts and live like the people in Somilia live today.....Look at their track record!

Teen suicide sucks. Lets sue Every body for everything! That’s the answer and just adds to the sadness of this story. Having experienced having the government getting involved in my family life the best words of advise is NEVER let ANY social services agency even know you exist. To them all families are dysfunctional, and they never meant a family they couldn't interfere with! A law suit will take tax money and give it to the mother. You can't punish the government.

The cry of the '70s was Divest In South Africa. We were able to use finical pressure to change the government. Now the country is the Infant Rape Capital of the world. Maybe it is time to Divest in South Africa again! No matter what we do, in 10 more years they will be just like Somilia anyway.

If the camp commander were smart, he would never have allowed ANY privileges to prisoners. He would NEVER allow a reporter, Red Cross rep, or anyone else on his base. No call to prayer, no prayer mats, no turbans. If they want to hunger strike, let them. And when one of them exposes himself in an effort to embarrass a female guard, she should be under orders to POINT AND LAUGH! Instead, we hurt our selves by trying to placate the media. Remember, these are the bastards that brought us 9-11...

If you play with fire, you might get burned.....I have never associated with anyone that might be a terrorist, I have nothing to fear. If I were from Lebenon and over stayed my visa, yea, I might have so sniveling to do when the INS came and got me. Finally a situation where people might be held responsible for what they have done and what they belive in. When your visa expries, guess what...Vacation is over, it's time to GO HOME!!!! When do we start enforceing ALL the laws in America, not just the ones that are easy to enforce? Never forget, those detained in America have broken the law. Those detained in Cuba ARE RESPONSIBLE for 9-1-1 !!

Typical journalist...Who needs the truth as long as I have a story, besides the truth isn't as interesting. Considering the environment at many colleges, this shouldn't suprize us. Just another example of why you just can't belive what is reported today.

The European Union, when first started, stated they would not interfere with the internal operations of any governments within it. The first thing I saw them do was tell Austria that they must get a new vice president because the one the Austrians elected was to right wing for them. They told Ireland that they do not tax their people enough, and England that they must stop selling beer in Pints. Now Turkey, no matter how terrible a crime is committed, you can not decide to execute ANYONE in your own country! Well,,,I sure wish we could join,,, then they could tell us how to run our country!
  • Import ban on foreign-made ammo?

I read that because a gun manufacturer (dont know the details) had marketed a 'handgun' that will fire 7.62x39 ammo, that ammo with steel or other than lead core, is now considered 'armor pierceing'. Which is under a lot of restrictions. I had no problem getting wolf 7.62x39 last week for $2.00 a box from AIM.com.....but any restrictions that can be imposed will be...First firearms, then alcohol, then tabbaco...

Mailer obviously has lost contact with the real world. I am afraid he wouldn't know real patriotism if it bit him in the butt. It never ceases to amaze me when I see ‘academics’ who get a kick out of running down the very country they live in. Anyone have a theory as to why this happens?

Our own military is just as crazy. They issue cards to our soldiers that tell them how to behave both in combat and out. Our own rules of engagement are usually very stupid< like you can only shoot back with the same caliber of weapons you are fired on with>>>>>

A liberal is a liberal no matter where he lives, from England to New Hampshire. Europe seems to have been taken over by them, but there are still streight thinking peoples everywhere, except in the press. I don't think for a min. that the average person in the U.K. thinks those poor boys in Cuba are really being mistreated. They living better than many in world, except for the confinement. Think they would rather be in a jail in Pakastan, India or Turkey? They are in custody of a Western Power, and may thank God for it. The Brits would treat them same, Iam sure.

South Africa was once a rapidly growing economic center. Granted it had many racial problems, but take a look at it now. Post Mandala, who would want to live there? Give it another 10 or 20 years and it will look just like Somolia.
