In the late 1980s, I had the occasion to go to Romania on business. The dictator, Ceaucescu, was still in power. our group stayed at one of his country houses. Each of us was assigned a 'spy'...to watch us (sort of a KGB operative). The person who job was to shadow me confided in me that Arafat was a friend of Ceaucescu and that Arafat had stayed at this very house. He also told me that Arafat liked boys and liked to play 'chase the tiger'. In a later conversation with an arab who arranged business deals with arab businessmen and the U.S., I was told the same thing. Arafat was definetly a 'gender bender'.

I don't know if that gives credence to any of the stories we hear about aids ...and of course he had a lot of medical treatment and could have contracted aids or a simliar disease from transfusions.. but I think aids is definetly a possibility and would certainly be something that the family and the government would do all in their power to hide from the press.

I say who cares. Its just good that the little terrorist bastard is dead as they may finally be a chance for peace in the middle east.

January 21, 2005 And old man walks up Pennsylvania Ave. Stops at the guard shack in front of the White House. The Marine asks what his business is. The old man says.. "I'd like to see President Kerry." "Sir," the Marine replys, John Kerry lost the election. George Bush is still President. The old man thanks him, turns and goes home.

The next day.. the exact same thing. Old man asks to see President Kerry...Marine says Kerry lost, Bush is still President. Old man turns and goes home.

This goes on for a week. Finally the Marine says to the old man: "Sir, you've been coming here everyday asking to see President Kerry...and I keep telling you that John Kerry lost, and that George Bush is still President..are you having a hard time understanding that?"

The old man replies.. "Oh yes, I understand.. I just love to keep hearing it."

"Yes Sir! See you tomorrow sir" replies the Marine as the old man turns to go home.

I’ve always loved Ohio. Today, I love it a lot more. For years I have traveled into Ohio on a regular basis to see clients of our company. Even though I have lived on the East Coast for most of my life, I’ve told many people that if I had to live in any inland state, it would be Ohio. Decent weather. Excellent restaurants. Good schools. And fantastic people with great values.

Last election it was our state of Florida that decided the election. I don’t have to tell you what a mess that was. This year, it was the people of Ohio who decided this election. You did a superb job in handling the increased numbers of voters, the thousands of lawyers who descended upon you and the multitude of ‘outsiders’ from various groups and parties. Ohio responded well under pressure…a tremendous feather in the cap of all your election officials, workers and government.

Ohio not only helped re-elect a great leader, Ohioans played a very important part in the direction of this Country and the future of the World itself at a critical time in history. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you did and how you did it. Tony Bennett may have left his heart in San Francisco, but a part of my heart will always be in Ohio.

2.) Dan Rather and CBS acted with prejudice to use untruthful information to try and subvert the presidential election by knowingly smearing the President of the United States just a few weeks before an important national election.

Now that all the election furor has died down..this is the time for each and every one of us to make our anger clear to CBS, its board of directors, its officers and management.

In addition to sending emails, take the time to print out a letter and send it snail mail to CBS demanding that CBS apologize to the President on the air during prime time and that they fire Dan Rather.

I signed on early to the swift vets cause. I lost a dear friend in Vietnam. And I don't think the Vietnam Vets EVER got the homecoming they were entitled to. I knew helping defeat Kerry would be that homecoming. I donated to the swift vets and kerrylied.com started by a great man named Larry Bailey. I loved seeing those great ads at the end with all the swift vets in them. by the way, both of these groups are looking for some donations to help clean up bills the incurred. if you can give a few bucks go to kerrylied.com and give what you feel comfortable with.

I really do wonder if we would have won without the swiftvets galvanizing a lot of the vet vote. I guess we'll never know.. but I know one thing: These guys are great heroes who got a raw deal from the likes of fonda and kerry. I guess they got some payback.
