  • Newt Gingrich's 'mind boggling' tax plan [possibly bad analysis by CNN or TPC (post 143, 157)]

You are right. A lot of supposed conservatives are being flim-flammed by Newt. He is a progressive like Teddy Roosevelt and his cousin FDR. He has said many things like Woodrow Wilson. Newt loves Teddy, and if you really delve into Teddy Roosevelt history you will find the facts about him. DO YOUR HOMEWORK on him and on NEWT. Look what he did when he was Speaker. Some constant criticism of him and he canceled his C-Span televised meetings, and the next thing I see is Tom Daschle having daily news briefs being covered on the National News each evening. Not Newt and Republican who were in the majority but Democrats on the evening news.

I agree with you 100 per cent. Feel sorry for those newly 2010 elected enthusiastic-for-the-Constitution House Reps. And newly elected in 2010 Senators. They are seeing that many of us out here are getting “DONE” with the ones caving and not adhering to the will of their constituents.
If they cave on taxes, I hope we have many new people getting into the House and Senate races for 2012. I can dream, can’t I?

I am all in favor of Thune or Paul Ryan. Thune has appeared on Greta and other Fox News Network programs and has been very articulate on the conservative message.

Do the words Bobby Jindall come to mind? Hope that is his first name. I had a mental lapse. He is doing a terrific job in Louisiana. There isn’t a night go by that I don’t see him on the only news station worth watching. (FOX NEW NETWORK) He sounds like Ronald Reagan. A number of people I know feel the same way. Romney is great with numbers, but his health care in Mass. proves that he wanted government programs.

This is the letter I sent to Fox News Network Comments:

    Dear Fox,
My question is this: WHY WHY WHY would Carl Cameron report all that gobbly gook about Sarah Palin AFTER the election is over and she has been defeated??? To me this is the last straw for the Fox News Network. It started with Shepherd Smith reporting things very negatively; then O’Reilly actually saying when he interviewed Barack Obama that he believed him and took him at his word. Next it is Hannity and Colmes constantly having Dick Morris on their program. Dick Morris has proven over and over again that he is wrong on his opinions about 95 per cent of the time. As far as I am concerned, Greta and Neil Cavuto are the only afternoon and evening news programs worth watching except when Greta is stuck on the latest sensationalized murder or child missing. So that leaves Fox and Friends in the morning and Neil Cavuto in the afternoon. PERIOD. I just read about a boycott of Fox News Network, and I, for one am in favor of this after Carl Cameron spewed his factually-suspect report. You have lost all credibility of reporting the news—we decide. I have depended on Fox News to report a side of the news that is virtually ignored on the other major networks—yet, I continue to see a definite decline in news reported of both sides of the political spectrum.

Therefore I am taking the Fox News Network off of my favorites and skipping over it. Am I boycotting Fox News? You could say that. I no longer have confidence in your various reporters and whether they get the facts or the fiction for their reports.

This is truly a sad state of affairs with a station that had so much going for it. Perhaps you won’t be affected by this boycott, perhaps you won’t but I guess I will not have to hear people like Major Garrett and Carl Cameron any more.

Mr Gregg (post 28) has hit the nail on the head. The GOP should have never allowed Democrats and independents to vote in their primary. That is the only reason we had McCain. To me it is not fair for them to cross over, and vote for our weakest candidate. That was their strategy just like it was when Rush told Republicans to cross over and keep Hillary in the race. Looks like the GOP has a lot more to answer for in not making rules that favor the best candidate to rise to the top. Unfortunately, Mike Huckabee’s collaboration with McCain to deny Romney the nomination in Virginia hurt us also.

Does anyone know how to reach Tony by either e-mail or snail mail to send our prayers. It sured seemed to work before when he was at the White House. I think he was the absolute best press secretary to a President ever.
Please post an address for us well-wishers.

I think we can beat Hillary because there is so much fear and hatred for her among Rebublicans and Independents. On the other hand, Obama is gathering thousands of fans just by showing up; never mind what he says. he just makes you “FEEL GOOD.” It is all about “FEELINGS.” So, vote for Hillary to give her the nomination. Otherwise, like others have posted here, we will have Obama and liberal justices for the next four years.

-—This is just an act to make it look like he didn’t collude with McCaine on tag teaming Mitt.-—

You are one smart freeper. He has to stay in a few more weeks, suffer a few defeats before he gracefully bows out.
Everything is about looks in this society. Now we will see who John McCain chooses for VP to tell if he meant everything he said at the CPAC speech. Actions speak louder than words.

I can just picture that YOUNG wonder orator, Barack Obama, debating against that tired bedraggled McCain. McCain will lose big.
Can you imagine our youth-obsessed country voting for a dinosaur??? When we can vote for someone fresh with new ideas, why do the Republicans think the country will rally around MCain—the old tired, ideas of the past. That is assuming Hillary won’t win the nomination because there is rock star celebrity excitement for Barack.

For information about the Christian Coalition. That was led by Pat Robinson (who endorsed Rudy early when he thought he was winning)

Now I see that if we don’t rally around Romney, we will have McCain. Romney isn’t perfect, but his views are more conservative than McGuiliane.

The commnents from James Dobson shows the obvious. He is not perfect, and neither is Romney. But Romney is our best defense against the takeover of the Republican party by liberal RINOs

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE. Huckabee is NOT going to gain the nomination. That leaves two candidates. A write-in for Fred and a vote for Huckabee means John McCain. Do you really want John McCain who will be beat soundly by Hillary or Obama once the media do their dirty work on him.
At least Romney did what he could in Taxachusetts. Many people change their minds about issues once they receive more of the facts. He is not perfect, but he is much better than McCain. A VOTE FOR ANYONE ELSE BUT ROMNEY IS A VOTE FOR MCCAIN.
