I have computer security installed which I think is at least moderately efficient in blocking attempts to enter my computer while I'm online.I get lots of pings, and the system I have identifies the source of the attempted intrusions with the numeric address of the last computer the attempt was routed through.Anybody know how to use that numeric addy to identify the site which has attempted the intrusion?Please assume I don't know anything -- you won't be far off the mark.

I'm not expecting much new or particularly good but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I think we all agree that in an insular society, the unanimous grant by all sane adults of a given authority to a governing entity would be legitimate; governmental exercise of that authority would be the communal expression of the individuals' right to delegate agency in the exercise thereof.
