This is the new black-and-white (in which, to be sure, what used to be called "black" is now white, and so on). As soon as somebody becomes a VICTIM, that person is not only immune from criticism but raised to the status of what was formerly called sainthood.

Not only that, but some victims clearly outrank others. Thus, an adult lesbian who has a sexual encounter with an underage teen in the school bathroom cannot justly be prosecuted for it because gays now outrank everybody else--blacks, women, sexually assaulted children, dead babies, you name it.

Take issue with this viewpoint? Then you are a HATER!

There would be a lot less of this if people would think twice before they got into intimate relationships.

We're not allowed to say this sort of thing anymore. It's considered especially inappropriate when a worthless shack-up thug tortures and kills the illegitimate children of his latest meal-ticket, who thereby becomes a "victim" of circumstances utterly beyond her control--or his, I suppose. All of it is apparently Bush's fault.

I’d say it’s about 100% certain that the “father” of the boys interviewed for the story is a strong Obama supporter. The only amazing thing is that he has not deserted the kids yet - maybe he lives on their mom’s income.

But those "M'' or "F'' markers — and the legal and administrative prerequisites for switching them on passports, birth certificates and other forms of identification — are a source of anxiety and, even, discrimination for transgender individuals.

There is a very obvious way to avoid these worrisome, embarrassing, and (perish the thought) discriminatory encounters. It's amazing that these overly educated people have not thought of it yet.

This is going to be a real problem for the media. By definition, a “gay lobby” is the height of righteousness and truth, and—also by definition—the Roman Catholic Church is wicked and corrupt. So what happens when someone tries to say that “corrupt=gay” or vice-versa? Francis may go down in flames.

The article makes it clear that the real tragedy here is that of the poor sister and her live-in boyfriend, the drug dealer:

Ideally parents should be able to “shop” for tutors and instructional opportunities for their kids. Some of the online courses available now are mind-numbing (worse than sitting in a public-school classroom), but the right combination of learning experiences can be exciting for everybody—probably the parents even more than the kids.

Maybe they can bring Gosnell to NY and make him the state surgeon general.

I don’t know. I left the house, went to the polling place, voted in the congressional, state and local races, and left a blank space at the top of the ticket. It’s not that I had no incentive to vote; I was strongly motivated not to vote GOP in the presidential election.

In another time, Americans would have responded to such a possibility with shock and disbelief. Today, most would probably just agree and shrug it off.

Suppose this were true. Many commentators thought the last election signaled the loss of the country anyway, and developments since then have tended to confirm that analysis. Clearly, the culture war has been lost, and the most vile social decadence is now the order of the day, even in those institutions that we once counted on as bulwarks against barbarism. So the alternatives politically are surrender or principled minority status? I know what I prefer.

Homelessness among teens is on the rise because genuine family life—starting with MARRIED moms and dads—is on a rapid decline and is virtually unknown in some communities. As a result, kids drift from “relative” to “boyfriend” to side of the road. There is only one way to fix this problem, but the country is simply unwilling even to discuss it.

Talk about real courage for coming out of the closet - this is what I call REAL COURAGE for speaking up and out like this!

What the hell does a young child know about homosexuality?

The way things are going, even the youngest child in America knows MUCH more about homosexuality than about reading, writing and arithmetic--much less about the religious and cultural heritage of the West.

People need to make some plans for what comes next, or it'll be all Sharia all the time.

The parents of the 14 yo could have pulled their daughter from that school and moved her to another, or begun homeschooling.

Mehcad Brooks did a video for this same group to mark the Roe v. Wade anniversary in January. Its theme was the romance of abortion. It came out just in time for the Gosnell trial. Romantic, huh?
