Reading and haunting the Web for the last couple of weeks has been an education to me. Everyone talks about the events of September 11, 2001 but no one, and I mean no one understands what happened.

Since September 11th there have been too many people talking about Special Operations Forces who don’t have a clue about what they are talking about. Unfortunately most of them the media’s talking heads. There have also been a few who knew SOF and talked too much. Here are some of General Shelton’s thoughts on SOF from a few years back.

There are a few things that need to be cleared up about the Raid.First, this was no spur of the moment thing – I counted at least three different Federal Agencies – they had their organizational names on their “nijina” suits. I have been doing an immoral and illegal thing lately – thinking.What is all of the stink being raised by everyone on the Democratic side of politics, including the mass media, over George W. Bush’s possible drug use all about? It is more than simple politics. I think it is about money. Right now George W. and the Republicans are far - far -- FAR ahead of the Democrats in raising money for the 2000 elections.
