  • Chris Christie Slams ‘Reprehensible’ NRA For ‘Dragging People’s Children’ Into Gun Cont. Debate(Vid)

His children (and ALL high profile politicians’children) MUST be protected 24/7 as their fathers are the most recognized and powerful men in the world and could be targets for any loon out there with a political or idealogical aggenda. I have no problem with that at all.

I would defend ANY child in a heart beat. Having said that, I agree that children should be off limits in any political discussion.....but ALL children should be so. Obama and his handlers are the ones who decided to use innocent children as pawns in this debate. Do you really think an 8 year old child wrote those letters?

Just because he is president does not mean his kids are any more important or loved than everyone elses’ children, they are just out there for all to see. He is lucky in that his position includes special protection of his daughters. My family only has the 2nd Amendment to protect us. ALL of our children and grandchildren deserve to be protected, but taking everyones’ ability to defend themselves away does not get the job done.

As soon as my grandchildren are old enough, I intend to teach them how to shoot as I did with my son, and as my father did with me. That assumes of course that we are still blessed with the 2nd Amendment at that time.

That is another great idea, kind of a variation on my theme. I was trying to consider the costs involved, and hey we are paying the guardsmen anyway.

I am truly bothered by what happened in Connecticut yesterday, and what has transpired over the last few years with all of these public shootings, ESPECIALLY these innocent little schoolchildren. Searching in my mind for an answer, none appeared because I am convinced it is because our society has truly shown some horribly evil elements.

Now I am not advocating a "Police State", or a complete armed society. But suppose each state government authorized the States' National Guard to post several trained members in each school. Being state employees this should not conflict with the ban on using the federal military in our own country. This would be done only after the participants have qualified as expert on the range with both sidearms and rifles, and have had CQB training and have shown themselves to be proficient. These could be posted on a revolving basis, and the time spent "on duty" would count toward their required ACDUTRA time for the year. Their "deployment" would be reasonably local, and they could spend their nights at home.

I know this might give the appearance of an "armed" society, but if you recall this was done following 911 and no one really objected.

These are our children and grandchildren we are talking about, and I cannot think of anything more precious and worth protecting. It is sad for me to think that after over 5 decades of life in this country, several years of which were spent in defense of my country, that I would even consider such an option. Evil has once again shown its' very ugly face, and it scares the hell out of me.

The Constitution says congress because at the time of writing the document, there was to be a strict seperation of powers with NO notion of any president bypassing congress and making laws via executive orders.....ever.

Over the years they have whittled away at the original document so that we now have a very ill defined procedure regarding enactment of laws and seperation of powers in general. Look at Obamacare, all bills regarding finance are supposed to originate in the H of R, not the Senate. Just wait until the UN finalizes the Internation Gun Control Treaty, the Senate may not be able to pass the constitutionally required resolution to enact the treaty but I bet you Onummy will try at least to adopt it with an EO by relying on the Patriot Act or the NDAA......just my prediction.

This administration now fits the description “Dead Man Walking”.

And that my friends is an extremely dangerous situation. There is nothing more dangerous than a rabid and crazed animal that is cornered and believes he has nothing to loose. That animal will strike out from desperation and a sense of panic......against all odds.

Congress does not have the b**ls to do anything because they are all corrupt and afraid of what is in their own closets. The next few weeks to months should be very interesting indeed as we await some slight of hand or dog waging event in an attempt to distract everyone away from this and other issues attached to this administration.

    God help our country.

This coming election is truly our last chance to save our nation and our way of life. I pray that we do the right thing.

OK.....thats way enough of this pretend President. We need a real american leader or we are absolute toast. Another 4 years and the damage we have seen so far will pale in comparison to what will be exponentialy more damaging in the lomger term. I already do not recognize my country, and in a few short years if he is still pretending to be the president, we are done....completely done. I pray and cry for my 5 grandchildren.

I consider this only a temporary victory. We need to keep our eyes and ears open as you could bet money this or some other proposed similarly designed bill will rear its’ ugly head again.

I sent emails to ALL of the New Jersey Assembly commitee members, but I am sure they only registered my complaint, not my reasons why. They just do not listen.

It is a shame when you review the news every day looking for information regarding yet another proposal from multiple levels of government pushing yet another proposed law that continues to strip us of our God given constitutional rights. It seems like a nightmare game that we play to fight for what years ago was guaranteed. It is constitutional “whack a mole”.

And my fear is that the next generation will not be as vigilant as we are, and the loss of citizens rights will be certain.

Please stay vigilant and object to these proposed encroachments to our liberty and American way of life.

I cannot believe they sold us down the river AGAIN. The conservatives caved in big time. We finally had the chance to at least TRY to do the right thing fiscally, and all that was accomplished was to delay and insure the inevitable will be even worse than we thought. The debt and the management of the same is what will take our country down, and because those who supposedly represent us did not do the responsible thing we and all of our kids and grandkids will be the ones who will suffer the most.

I am ashamed for my country. What a joke.

I WAS a lifelong eagles fan, them playing only fifty some miles up the Atlantic City Expressway. Now, I could care less about them because of Vick, and more importantly the owner Laurie.

Vick is an animal of the worst kind. In my world you don’t screw with kids, old people, and animals....period. I wish I could have him alone for just 5 minutes with a choker chain around his neck.

Some of the stories I heard and read about Vick actually made me tear up and feel nauseous. To do what he did to defenseless animals is horrendous. And remember, that was a way of life for him and his buddies.....not a mistake or sudden lapse of morals.

I don’t care how good of a ball player he is,if he is lucky to survive his career without a broken neck (karma) he will certainly have to answer to God someday.

Laurie’s signing of Vick tells me money is the only thing important to him and his investors (surprise surprise),trumping even the most basic moral standards. So to hell with Laurie, Vick, and by association the Eagles organization. I am now a Giants fan.

How about the extra expense to send Air Force One Or two or whatever)from Washington DC to Hawaii TWICE! Once out with wife and kids, then return EMPTY to DC, then out again with Ozero when he is ready to join his family.

I recently read somewhere what it costs the Air Force to fly those planes....an incredible hourly rate. And don’t forget, we are paying for it.

Well Melchior, in 6 years I never saw it. I know it was there just by the mathematical probability, but it never was seen by me.

I guess I just take exception to anyone misspeaking of my Navy. Look, the real Navy just like all of the other services are run by the Senior NCO’s. The very upper flag ranks are all political stooges using every move possible to get where they want to go. The CNO SHOULD be supportive of keeping the Navy straight. Where is Admiral Zumwolt when we need him? This directive, or law is just another liberal nail in the coffin of America.

BTW, did you have all 13 buttons buttoned on your broadfalls? Maybe that was the problem.

“Does it surprise anyone who has familiarity with the armed forces that the Navy would be pro-homosexual?”

    Two points if I may:
Melchior, you must be a &^#*nut. I have no idea where you served,or even if you did, but I guarantee me and my Navy buddies served in more danger and terrible conditions than you ever did. And EVERYONE was a man, and looked out for each other. I would match war stories with you anytime. When we served there was a ban on homosexuals serving. I am sure there were more than a few in every branch of the service, but they surely hid their preferences.

This DADT is a done deal, has been for some time now. I would bet that most of the congress critters never even served in the military. It is just indicative of the way this once great country is sliding headfirst into self destruction and obscurity. Another “politically correct” move to allow the liberals to change the world as we know it.

I also guarantee to you that enlistments will be down almost immediately, and CADRE will be lost due to this decision. This will severely cripple the rate of retention in the military.

We learned in the military, when going out of “your comfort zone” .....have two zippo lighters. Take masking tape, or medical tape out of your first aid kit and tape one shut. That way you should have almost 4 weeks or so of lighter capability. Extra flints under the cotton wading and you are set.

No way do you want even a small container of flammable or combustible liquid on or about your person.

I still have 3 zippo lighters that I use. My wife just bought me a Calibri lighter for my cigars. Just for old
times sake I keep my main 2 zippos filled and use them every once in awhile so they do not feel left out after all these years.

  • Baby Snatching: It's Hilarious When We Just Don't Like Their Kind (Oathkeepers individual)

The oathkeepers are NOT a militia, or any kind of subversive or anarchist group. We do not advocate any violence or physical revolutionary actions. We will not start anything or act in any unlawful manner. You will need to look elswhere if that is what you want.

We follow the axiom “reach, teach, and inspire”. Our goal is to make sure ALL people who have taken an oath (active military, military veterans, law enforcement active and retired, and firefighters / EMTs) WILL NOT FOLLOW unlawful orders that subvert our Constitutional rights. The basic precept is simply that one’s oath to defend the constitution (from enemies both foreign and domestic) does not expire upon retirement, separation, or discharge.....period. Our method of defending the Constitution is by way of education and inspiration.

Understand we are ALL as citizens required to follow the law, but oathkeepers promise to not obey and urge others to not obey any ILLEGAL orders handed down that do not comply with our rights as defined by our Constitution and legally passed laws. Please, be informed, visit the website and understand what we are about.

Now, if the government engages in some illegal and unconstitutional move against the national citizenry, then I am of the mind that most of the members would end up doing the right thing on their OWN joining like minded patriots, but not as part of this organization.

The majority of the Oathkeepers membership are clear minded law abiding citizens who have put their lives on the line at some point in their lives to physically defend the Constitution from foreign enemies, and whose purpose now is to spread the word, not violence, to defend same from domestic enemies.

Do not believe for one second that just because some of us are combat veterans, gun owners, conservatives or defenders of the constitution that we are all domestic terrorists as our government believes, ready to go to war against our government......NOTHING could be further from the truth.

We need to get rid of ALL the old tired blood, the degenerate blood, the alchoholic blood, the indifferant blood, and the same old political blood that has driven us to the edge of ruin.

This woman is a doer....don’t believe all the crap the lefties have said about her, look at the real story as to what she did while governor of Alaska.

She, and others like her are EXACTLY what we need in order to crawl back from the edge of disaster.....unless of course we are too late.

PLEASE vote in November as if your life depends on it because it does, believe me this is our last chance at saving our country probably forever.
