How would they destroy our economic system and self governing system and replace them with something else? It takes patience. First they must convince the populace that America is the main source of many of the world's problems. Furthermore, that Free Enterprise created the current real economic threat, the imagined ecological stress and that government can do better by playing the Blame Game using the following: - Propaganda - Generational dependency - Regulations on business - Attack Industry - Divide and Conquer Americans - Mob rule - Destroy the Military from within - Attack, corrupt and infiltrate Religion and Morality...

Starting in May, Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. will begin installing "smart meters" in a huge undertaking intended to modernize Central Maryland's electricity grid and save customers money by helping them control energy use. ... "We look at this as the most transformational change in the electricity grid in the last 100 years," said Mark D. Case, BGE's vice president of strategy and regulatory affairs. "It is really not overstating it to describe it in those terms."

About the Event Government run health care is the best example of everything wrong with the federal government. It is financially reckless. No one knows what it will ultimately cost - or where the money will come from. Additionally, ObamaCare will grow the federal government into every aspect of our lives. It will grow government into a massive bloated bureaucracy making health care decisions that directly affect you. In fact, the federal government must hire more than 17,000 IRS agents to enforce the law. We need your help to stop Government run health care! Join thousands of patriots who oppose...

A federal judge has declared unconstitutional a provision in Maryland law regulating who can carry a handgun, effectively loosening the restrictions governing firearm possession on the state's streets. In a 23-page memorandum opinion, made public Monday, U.S. District Court Judge Benson E. Legg said a state requirement forcing those applying for a gun-carry permit to show that they have a "good and substantial reason" to do so "impermissibly infringes the right to keep and bear arms," as guaranteed by the Second Amendment. "A citizen may not be required to offer a 'good and substantial reason' why he should be permitted...

I pledge to you, in the tradition of our founding document, if you help me next Tuesday, and if with your help I become the nominee, and as nominee we decisively defeat the Left at every level, at President, at House, at Senate, and local governments. That I will give you for as long as I am allowed to serve, my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor. Together, we are going to give our grandchildren the country they deserve, not the country that's currently decaying. - Newt Gingrich http://www.facebook.com/newtgingrich

Economist and conservative author Thomas Sowell says voters should disregard Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich’s “baggage” and support the former House speaker because defeating President Obama in 2012 is crucial to America’s future. Sowell cites Gingrich’s solid record of “concrete accomplishments,” which he argues makes him a stronger candidate than former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who pushed through one of the liberal healthcare programs in the nation.... He concludes: “Those who want to concentrate on the baggage in Newt Gingrich’s past, rather than on the nation’s future, should remember what Winston Churchill said: ‘If the past sits in judgment on...

Just in case something “newsworthy” happens, here’s the embedded video streaming live from the Reagan Library. The text of the speech is embargoed until 9 p.m. so I’ll post it below as an update in a few minutes. As you’ll soon see, though, Dan Foster’s take on it is exactly right. Christie does sound like a guy rolling out a foreign policy doctrine in preparation for a candidacy. Even though he almost certainly isn’t. Update: C-SPAN’s going to carry it too and it looks like Hannity will carry at least some of it. Christie allegedly told a group of donors...

Moderation is not a substantive belief. This is my problem with moderates. There isn't a core there! Moderation is a tactic. It's not a set of principles. It is a tactic that says, "Regardless of the situation, regardless of events, my first impulse is to find a different way around." I know moderation, per se, is illogical because there are clearly times when it is self-destructive or counterproductive. For instance, moderation after we were attacked at Pearl Harbor would have been irrational. Moderation against slavery would have been immoral. How do you debate the issue of moderation if it has...

BALTIMORE -- Mike Flanagan, a former Cy Young winner and part of the Baltimore Orioles' 1983 World Series championship team, has died. He was 59. Authorities found a body outside Flanagan's home in Monkton, Md., on Wednesday afternoon. Hours later, the Orioles confirmed that Flanagan -- who served the team as a pitcher, front office executive and television broadcaster -- was dead. "I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He was a good friend and teammate," said Hall of Fame third baseman Cal Ripken Jr., a former teammate of Flanagan's. "... Mike was an Oriole through and through...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) on Wednesday knocked down media reports that her nationwide bus tour has come to an end after completing only its first leg. Palin, a potential presidential candidate, sought to put an end to speculation that her "One Nation" tour is over. The talk was sparked by a RealClearPolitics report said that it's going on hiatus. Other news organizations reported that the tour is coming to an end. "I did? Hmm, glad I have media to let me know my plans. BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I know it makes people nervous when I say, "If the election were today, Obama would lose." Well, it makes some people nervous because they tell me so. "Rush, too much can happen here, as you say, way too soon here to be so confident of the outcome." Well, I'm not confident of the outcome 18 months from now, but if it were today, I'm telling you the guy doesn't have a prayer, folks. And now the new economic news, they're probably celebrating in the White House: "US Consumer Sentiment Worsens on Economic Jitters." And the media's...
