Water rising at Superdome knee deep and not threatens the generators on the ground floor, which require ventilation to operate. - just reported by an official on CNN
Could be lights out before long for our countrymen stranded in that vast dome and if the flooded sewage is creating a bad smell then I cannot imagine the panic that may develop.
I do not think the Palestinians realize how much Israel is restraining itself (some could suggest it has been forced to), nor how much power they possess.
The real problem with the "Roadmap to Peace" as I see it is that Sharon has adequate control of his military, but Abbas has militant/terrorist forces, which he does not control. You might call the terrorist problem among Palastinians a virus and why should Israel join in peace to another member with a virus that is out of control.
It create more harm than good, an impossible situation for Israel. Israel should not take one step toward peace with Abbas until he or another in his place gets control over the militant/terrorist forces within his borders.
A lady I work with was one of those that drowned at Destin. She drown on Sunday.
I had just seen her on Friday before her and her family were leaving the next day.
She was actually rescuing her young child from drowning, but by the time she got her child to standing ground in the sand a rip tide took her back out and she drown.
She saved her child, but at the cost of her own life as her child watched her sweep back out. Her father works with us as well. Tough times for a while I'm afraid.
Putin had planned to welcome his guests at the statue itself -- a symbol of Peter's powerful will -- then walk with them across a small park to the stony bulk of St. Isaac's Cathedral. That plan was scrapped due to the rain that came despite hundreds of thousands of dollars spent to seed clouds to keep the skies clear during the city's 10-day birthday party. The dignitaries arrived at the church in buses and limousines.

I like Foxnews.com quote, where it was said: "According to the official, a North Korean nuclear detonation would deplete by half their estimated stockpile of two weapons."
