<p>Thanks to Apple Computer's rising star in the world of digital music, Mac OS X has become a target for malware authors.</p> <p>A Trojan horse, called MP3Concept or MP3Virus.gen, has been discovered that masquerades as an MP3 file. It hides in ID tags of the file and becomes activated when unwary users click on it, expecting to play a digital song.</p>

I just came from the Oprah message boards. I haven't watched her show in over two years. I must first say that I have been using the internet for about 10 years. I think I just came across the stupidest group of people on the internet. Paraphrasing... "Bush doesn't have the education or knowledge to know what a war will do as far as how the rest of the world will look at the US. I think he needs to sit down with Dr. Phil..." Now, I searched through that person's post and didn't detect any sarcasm. My question is.......

  • My Son Is Pitching Tonight - Prayers Needed...

    05/03/2002 1:59:33 PM PDT · by Snowy · 2 replies · 10+ views
My 10 year old son is one of the pitchers for his baseball team. He either does very well, or, err, not so well. As a parent (mother), games are sometimes very difficult to watch. If you save your prayers for those who are truly unfortunate, I competely understand. If you have some influence to spare, I would appreciate a little prayer for my son, Jake.
  • VANITY: Funding for SAR teams?

    02/15/2002 12:36:15 PM PST · by Snowy · 2 replies · 3+ views
I am in the process of signing up for a local SAR (search and rescue) K9 team. My dog is a 6 month old golden. I have been doing a lot of research on the net and have come to the disturbing conclusion that these SAR teams are, for the most part, poorly funded. I am fully aware that my services will be strictly volunteer. I do not have a problem with that, however, I have read stories where some "volunteers" spend up to $5000 a year out of their own pocket! That I do have a problem with. Does ...
  • VANITY: Made up a game called "Rib the Lib"

    02/07/2002 11:58:49 AM PST · by Snowy · 24 replies · 2+ views
I just came up with a game called, "Rib the Lib". There are probably others like it, but here's how I play... 1. You should probably be home from school/work sick or something, because it could take a few days to play a round. 2. Go onto a site, be it a newsgroup or message board, and first hook a liberal (I hooked a whopper on this one site). You do this by saying something that will annoy them enough to respond to you. For example, my first round was, "so what does everyone think about the fact that global ...
  • Farewell - Bill Clinton's last speech? We can only hope

<p>The question going into Bill Clinton's farewell speech last night was this: Is this the last speech of the Clinton presidency, or the first speech of the new Clinton era? It was very much the latter, which is why he never said the word "goodbye" or "farewell."</p>
