China charges U.S. monopolizes the Internet, seeks global control Special to World Tribune.com EAST-ASIA-INTEL.COM Wednesday, March 2, 2005 China's ambassador to the United Nations last week called for international controls on the Internet. Chinese Ambassador Sha Zukang told a UN conference that controls should be multilateral, transparent and democratic, with the full involvement of governments, the private sector, civil society and international organizations. "It should ensure an equitable distribution of resources, facilitate access for all and ensure a stable and secure functioning," he said at the conference on Internet governance. Sha said China opposes the "monopolization" of the Internet by...

THE ANTI-WAR TURN IS A LOSER BY DICK MORRIS September 23, 2004 -- STUNG by criticism that his campaign lacks direction and focus, Sen. John Kerry has chosen to base his candidacy on an all-out assault on President Bush's record in Iraq — indeed, opted to move to the left decisively and attack the war head-on. Liberals will cheer Kerry's new-found decisiveness, but it opens the way for Bush to deal him a counterstroke that can all but end this election and finish off Kerry for good. Kerry's right flank is now gapingly vulnerable to a Bush attack. According to...

FCC Fines CBS $550,000 for Jackson Super Bowl Show WASHINGTON — Federal regulators on Wednesday fined CBS a record $550,000 for Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction," which exposed the singer's breast during this year's Super Bowl halftime show. The Federal Communications Commission voted unanimously to slap each of the 20 CBS-owned television stations with the maximum indecency penalty of $27,500. The total penalty of $550,000 is the largest fine levied against a television broadcaster. Most of the FCC's bigger fines have been against radio stations. The agency's five commissioners decided not to fine CBS' more than 200 affiliate stations.

Anti-homeschooling bigots strike again Michelle Malkin September 22, 2004 The public school establishment hates homeschoolers. They've smeared the movement as a conspiracy of conservative Christian zealots. They've scoffed at homeschooled kids as social pariahs. They've painted homeschooling parents as uneducated and negligent. And now, under the guise of preparing students for a violent terrorist attack, educators in one public school district are casting homeschoolers in the role of bomb-detonating militants. The story about a mock terrorism drill involving a local school district in the Muskegon Chronicle starts out innocently enough: "Local school district transportation directors instigated the exercise because...

New York Daily News - http://www.nydailynews.com Lefty press is soft on terror Monday, September 20th, 2004 What are we to make of The New York Times' describing terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as a "Jordanian militant"? I mean, this guy is one of the most vicious Al Qaeda thugs in the world; right now he's behind much of the violence in Iraq and has been active in the worldwide terror network since at least 1990. On June 17, a U.S. intelligence official provided my researcher Nate Fredman with the following information: In early 2000, Zarqawi traveled to Afghanistan to assume a...

A French official said Saturday that even if Sen. John Kerry defeats President Bush in November's election, his country won't provide troops to help the U.S. in Iraq - the same policy France has under President Bush. "If Kerry is elected, we wouldn't send troops either," the unnamed official told the New York Daily News. "We don't need any more targets in Iraq." The warning that even a President Kerry will have to "go it alone in Iraq" as far as France is concerned flies in the face of a key part of the candidate's Iraq strategy. The top Democrat...

Windows Media Video HereJohn Kerry also praised the Ohio State Buckeyes football team--during this visit to Michigan. Last month, John Kerry lauded "Lambert Field" during a visit to Wisconsin. He has yet to acknowledge Lambeau Field, the historic home of the Green Bay Packers. (Look for a Football Fans For Truth billboard coming soon near Lambeau Field, educating Wisconsin football fans about Kerry.) What makes the first half of this clip so great is that the coach called a sweep play that involves a pulling guard. For those of you out there that don't know what that means, the...

The U.S. Air Force plans to buy "hundreds" of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters in the short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) configuration, a key general said Sept. 13, adding further clarity to the service's plans for the JSF variant. The specific figure remains under review, said Gen. John Jumper, Air Force chief of staff. "I can't give you an exact number, but it's going to be more than a handful," Jumper said at a press briefing at the Air Force Association's Air & Space Conference in Washington. Current budget plans call for the Air Force to buy all 1,763...
