After Action Report - PBS Deliberation Day Thanks again to those who helped and advised me on preparation. My package of material for this event only arrived about 2 days prior to the actual event, so a lot of preparation that I could have done on the specific subjects to be covered was taken up trying to cover all possible discussion subjects. HOOYAH! I think I hit the jackpot. Last evening I received a phone call which turned out to be a telephone survey asking my opinions on current affairs, the election, domestic and foreign relations. At the end, the phone caller told me that I was to be a member of a group of people who would be assembled in this city, and several others across the country, for the purpose of holding community discussions on the issues and coming election. I read here a few posts back that Fleet Bank is paying the fee to have Clinton speak at an upcoming event. My NRA credit card is currently carried by Fleet, and I intend to cancel the card & tell them why. Is this confirmed or just a rumor? Is Fleet the carrier for all the NRA cards, or are there other banks that the NRA has established as carriers for the card? Anyone out there have suggestions on who to consider for a new card? Who to avoid? I've lost track.

After hitting all the spots mentioned in the posts, I found no-one in gear for Freeping (never having seen any of you before), so proceeded down to sit next to the reviewing stand around 11:15, with a FREEREPUBLIC.COM sign, just in case. Since there were no arrivals within the next half-hour, I continued down to the Point, made the circuit of the audience area, then made my way off to the side where the press was set up. Possible meeting locations: I know that the Fort Pitt Museum used to have the open bastions overlooking the area of the park where Gore will probably speak. If it hasn't been taken over by the SS, or blocked off due to construction, it may be a good spot for meeting, or display of a sheet-sized banner.
