Sometimes in politics, you wonder aloud, "I'm surprised liberals haven't blamed X on something completely unrelated." If you remember, it was just a few months ago that liberals blamed cold temperatures on global warming. This week, the Ebola outbreak is being blamed on the Jews. On Twitter, the user "Equity @liberalrights" openly wonders: But that was sane as opposed to some of her fellow Twitter brethren. User "arthurgant," clearly a genius, is much more blunt (expletives redacted): And you have to use the word "zionist" to make the Jews seem scarier, apparently:

Do you think you can't get away from coverage of Ebola coming to the United States and spreading in Africa? Well, somehow these people were able to avoid it, at least somewhat. Hundreds of confused twitter users are asking "who is Ebola," asking as if the virus infecting and killing thousands of people in Africa is a person. Yes, I'm serious. Congressional candidate Elise Stefanik, raised in upstate New York, is making national waves. Young but experienced and informed, NPR ran a featured article on her calling Ms. Stefanik the "poster candidate" for Republicans. In an odd coincidence, the last two election cycles have seen a drastic, unexpected drop in the unemployment rate immediately before the election. And in 2012 and 2010, the unemployment rate increased the month or the next after the election. Just as big a coincidence, both 2014 and 2012 saw the drop come in September, but reported in October, the best time to report supposed good news on the economy. An Arizona high school football coach was suspended for two games last week for praying with his team. The problem, according to the school, arose after their coach, Tom Brittain, prayed with his team. This is despite the fact that the school, Tempe Preparatory Academy, is state-funded. Isa Infante, the liberal Green Party candidate running for governor in Tennessee, is hiring people to create profiles on social media, such as Reddit, pretend to be an average user, then push for her "progressive" agenda. Ms. Infante is a self-labelled "progressive" candidate for Tennessee. Part of her platform is "ecological wisdom, social justice, feminism, and nonviolence." But, of course, as a Green Party candidate, she has had trouble gaining traction in the race. Liberals are extremely angry over a new ad called "Dating Profile," which portrays a woman talking about a relationship now in a downward spiral, despite promises to the contrary. The woman, it turns out, is talking about President Obama and his broken promises and failed policies... For days something has been irking me about the Michael Brown shooting and the autopsy performed. Repeatedly we've heard from witnesses who do not agree with Officer Darren Wilson's account. They have said that either, one, Brown was shot in the back or, two, he had his hands raised in surrender, while standing upright, when Wilson shot him. Well, the autopsy showed that Brown was not shot in the back, so the witnesses that claimed that are now confirmed to either be mistaken or liars. But what about the hands raised witnesses? The group has declared that they are aiming to seize the capital of Iraq as it is thrown into chaos due to Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s apparent coup. Foreigners, including the US Embassy staff have fled the city. ISIS appears to be pulling forces away from the Kurdish front to face the faltering Iraqi government in Baghdad.

Iraq’s parliament just chose a new President who refused to rename Prime Minister Nouri Kamal al-Maliki to a third term. Maliki declared the move unconstitutional and his own State of Law Party pulled support from him. Now his forces are seizing government buildings in Iraq, have closed the airport, and are surrounding the Green Zone.

In response to a report that the Facebook group "Death to Israel and the Zionists" is offensive, Facebook has declared that it "doesn't violate our Community Standards." Similarly, the also declared that the group "DEATH TO ZIONISTS" was also found not to violate Facebook's standards. In a drastically dishonest piece prominently featured on their Facebook page, the ACLU is campaigning to have the West Springfield police stripped of their grenade launchers, which are strictly used for tear gas and smoke grenades. Their post, however, does not mention that mention that such things could be used, and heavily implies that the police plan to shoot civilians with grenades. Further, the ad features a picture of two XM25 Grenade Launchers, which the police do not actually have. Instead, the police have M79s.
