    Lorazepam should be outlawed...

    I beg to disagree.

requires you to take it every four hours to prevent the seizures

I don't know where you get that.

I have intractable Epilepsy. The only thing that stops a seizure in progress for me (several times a week) is Ativan, which I only take as a 'rescue med as needed', not a daily thing due to it's quick tolerance build up. I've been on every anti-seizure med science has available. Their effectiveness is limited for me, there is no surgery available for me, and after nearly 40 years of suffering, only one med does anything at all for me anymore and they finally found adding Ativan as needed will stop a seizure in progress for me.

    Praise God for Ativan!

It is profoundly saddening what an overdose might cause, or what someone's individual reaction to any medication might be. But never ever throw out the baby with the bathwater. That way lies foolishness.

    Prohibition is wrong.

Without Ativan, my myoclonic and partial seizures lead to full blown tonic-clonic seizures which are horrible and include a risk of death. I've broken my front teeth out, cracked others, needed stitches several times afterwards, split my lip, bit my tongue a third through it, cut open my belly, etc etc due to those.

Praise God for Ativan! Without it, I'd be back to those things happening all the time again.

We cannot think narrowly about these things, discarding the good they do for so many people. There is the potential for harm in almost all things, that doesn't mean they should be banned. Consume too much caffeine and it'll hurt your heart, should it be banned? Drink too much water and you'll drown in your bodies fluids, should water be banned?

I do not mean to say there is nothing in what you say. I was once on Klonopin for 13 years before it became ineffective for me. The withdrawl from that was...unpleasant. But I've had much worse withdrawl from other meds. Just went through withdrawl after having to stop taking Depakote after 25 years, as my liver could no longer process it. That was truly awful, and it's supposedly "not addictive".

Yeah, there are the war games with South Korea going on. North Korea has been threatening to nuke the south and us because of it. Someone posted another article that we are sending three B-2 bombers over for the war games too.

I had heard he wasn’t on the current tour due to treatment for the Leukemia. First time he ever missed a tour, and now he’s gone. A sad day, I’ve always worked hard to be able to play bass as well as he does. I don’t know many that can.

RIP Chris Squire, and thank you for all the great music.

Yeah, the ‘non-motorized transportation’ is the big push around here these days. Makes no sense to me, given how harsh and long our winters are. I really don’t see many people riding their bikes with a foot of snow and 25 below zero.

We’ve had several similar cases here in Lewis and Clark County Montana. The County forced the subdivisions to pay, they sued, the court found in their favor and assessed the county millions in fines and fees. Just the county trying to get out of paying for the roads they’re responsible for.

Reid had some allegiance to Bohlinger I presume?

Actually Reid had endorsed Walsh, which is what lead to the appearance of Bullock following Reid's lead in this appointment. It obviously gives Walsh an advantage that he didn't have before in the election. Still, at this point it's Daines race to lose.

Bohlinger said he would consider dropping out of the primary if Walsh was appointed.

I don’t see where anyone has mentioned the Whiskey Rebellion was put down by President George Washington. 12,950 US Forces against civilians (farmers and Revolutionary War Veterans).

The Bonus Army was covered in my High School classes, which would have been in the ‘70’s.

My first missed Yes tour was when the roof of Kansas City’s Kemper Arena caved in a few days before the concert"

I remember that, I missed it too.

I had the pleasure of meeting Steve Howe on the first Asia tour (day before the played at Starlight in KC) and Rick Wakeman on a tour with his son (in Seattle). And got to laugh at Alan White when security demanded his ID to get in at that show. Alan saying, "Hey, don't you know who I am !?"

I don’t get it. “Legislation To Stop Bundling.” Sounds like the Fascism of a government telling business how to do business. How is that different from passing legislation to tell doctors how to provide healthcare ?

If a business wants to use a model other than bundling, what’s stopping them ? Why does Senator McCain want to use government to dictate how business is run ?

How are cable companies a monopoly, when there is satelite and internet options ? The Senator is about 15 years behind the curve on that one.

I could be wrong, but I don’t see how any of this is Federal government business.

"It also suggests that personal connection and relatability are now more important factors in national elections than experience or accomplishment."

So they completely ignored history. This isn't anything new, they've been important for along time for the electorate. Clinton didn't say "I feel your pain" for nothing.

Cable is not broadcast television, therefore not subject to the FCC.

Bringing politics into a non-political entertainer’s death is really tasteless.

He didn’t fit into stereotypes. His favorite musical band is my favorite - the English band, Yes.

“Hemsley was a self-proclaimed fan of 1970s progressive rock bands including Yes,Gentle Giant and Nektar. On his appearance on Dinah!, Hemsley performed a dance to the Gentle Giant song “Proclamation” from The Power and the Glory. After his dance, Shore was laughing and asked what kind of music that was. Sherman then proceeded to give a 5-minute speech on Gentle Giant. In 1999, he collaborated with Yes founder Jon Anderson on an album titled Festival of Dreams which was not released.”

    RIP Sherman.

“Would there be evidence if a seizure occurred?”

Maybe, maybe not. EEG tests of often appear normal, you have to catch the seizures as they occur. MRI’s are usually normal. And certainly there are no blood tests for seizures.

Seizures are like earthquakes, they are unpredictable.

There is a pending investigation though.

Good Lord, Epilepsy is not a conspiracy. Welcome to real life. The posts in this thread are very disturbing to me. There is way too much ignorance when it comes to epilepsy and seizures. I’m epileptic. I have seizures 2 - 6 times a week. I cannot work because of them, cannot drive because of them.

There are 60 types of epilepsy, and what most think of as falling down and shaking is only one type. As steve86 said, any kind of human behavior can happen as a result of a seizure.

I worked for a software duplication company when Windows 3.1 was released. We went from a one building, 5 day-a-week, one shift company with 35 employees to a five building 24/7, 3 shift company with 400 employees in one month.

Windows 3.1 was a huge success.
