  • Saudi armed forces on high preparedness. Egyptian troops ready to defend kingdom

Thursday, June 26, the day before US Secretary of State John Kerry was due in Riyadh, King Abdullah summoned a National Security Council meeting “upon the current security events in the region, especially in Iraq,” and ordered “all necessary measures to protect the kingdom against terrorist threats.” This meant a general call-up of military units for a high level of preparedness. DEBKAfile’s military sources disclose that Egypt is assembling an expeditionary commando force to fly to Saudi Arabia and bolster its border defenses. This flurry of Saudi-Egyptian military steps comes in the wake of intelligence gathered by Saudi reconnaissance planes...

When the first of the 300 military advisers US President Barack Obama promised the Iraqi government arrived in Baghdad Wednesday, June 25, Iranian and Saudi Arabian arms shipments were already in full flow to opposing sides in embattled Iraq, DEBKAfile’s military sources report. At least two cargo planes from bases in Iran were landing daily at Baghdad’s military airport, carrying 150 tons of military equipment. More than 1,000 tons were flown in this past week alone. Tehran has replicated for the Iraqi army the routine it established for Bashar Assad’s army, furnishing its needs on a daily basis as per...

    Daily Mail ^ | June 24, 2014 | SOPHIE JANE EVANS
Three American friends have been taken to hospital after reportedly becoming 'possessed' by evil spirits while playing with a Ouija board. Alexandra Huerta, 22, was playing the game with her brother Sergio, 23, and 18-year-old cousin Fernando Cuevas at a house in the village of San Juan Tlacotenco in south-west Mexico. But minutes into it, she apparently started 'growling' and thrashing around in a 'trance-like' state. They restrained Alexandra to prevent her from hurting herself, before treating the three with painkillers, anti-stress medication and eye drops, which seemingly worked. Victor Demesa, 46, the director of public safety in the nearby...

Seattle, Wash. (CBS SEATTLE) – A U.S. Navy sailor from Washington State is currently serving on a submarine thousands of miles away in the Pacific Ocean, but a judge has ordered him into an impossible custody scenario: Appear in a Michigan courtroom Monday or risk losing custody of his 6-year-old daughter. Navy submariner Matthew Hindes was given permanent custody of his daughter Kaylee in 2010, after she was reportedly removed from the home of his ex-wife, Angela, by child protective services. But now a judge has ordered him to appear in court Monday, or risk losing his daughter to his...

As a former CPA with the Big 4, I have worked with many hospitals, non-profits, fortune 500 companies including manufacturing, service and financial companies. This allowed me to observe many organizational structures in many professions and environments. One general rule of management is that the line of authority must be upward within a company/organization and not lateral if you want performance and accountability. This is not the case at the VA Hospitals. A department head is usually an MD who has the highest and best knowledge in their profession. However the employees under him/her do not answer to the department...

A New York strip club can’t claim a tax exemption on entrance and performance fees on the grounds that it presents “musical arts performances,” the state’s highest court ruled. The New York Court of Appeals in Albany upheld Tuesday a lower court’s ruling that Nite Moves, an adult “juice bar” in Latham, N.Y., didn’t prove to tax authorities that its stage and couch dances merited the exemption granted to artistic performances. “It is not irrational for the tax tribunal to decline to extend a tax exemption to every act that declares itself a ‘dance performance,’” the Court of Appeals said...

On Aug. 2, 2011, President Obama signed a deal he had negotiated with congressional leaders to increase the debt limit of the federal government by $2.4 trillion. But, now, after only 15 months, almost all of that additional borrowing authority has been exhausted. Although Treasury revealed in its statement on Wednesday that it was likely to hit the debt limit by the end of the year, Treasury Secretary Geithner failed to respond to a letter that Senate Finance Ranking Member Orrin Hatch and Senate Budget Ranking Member Jeff Sessions sent to him on Oct. 15 demanding that he notify them...

Before the bailout of General Motors, it was well understood that the world’s largest automaker was losing huge amounts of money in the US and was staying afloat thanks to stronger performance in overseas markets. Since the bailout, however, that dynamic has been turned on its head. Thanks to a leaner manufacturing footprint, debt eliminations and steadily recovering sales, GM’s US operations have generated the lion’s share of the company’s profit since the bailout. And now, as the rest of the world economy slows, GM is spending more and more of its taxpayer-enhanced cash pile to shore up its faltering...

Mitt Romney squared off with President Barack Obama Wednesday night at the University of Denver in Colorado. Here’s a look at the GOP nominee’s five most memorable lines during the debate, which was moderated by PBS’s Jim Lehrer. 1. “And congratulations to you, Mr. President, on your anniversary. I’m sure this was the most romantic place you could imagine — here with me!” 2. “Mr. President, you’re entitled to your own house and your own airplane, but not your own facts.” 3. “I’m sorry, Jim, I’m gonna stop the subsidy to PBS… I like PBS. I love Big Bird. I...

The US State Department under Hillary has already been funding homosexual groups in foreign countries with US tax dollars. In Italy, American tax dollars were used to fund a Lady Gaga concert in Rome. The concert was part of a homosexual pride festival. US funding for the event caused outrage in Italy, but was ignored by the American press. Hillary has also used American tax dollars to fund homosexual groups and events in Slovakia, Russia, China, Honduras, Uganda, Malawi, Turkey, Pakistan, and others. In Pakistan, the US State Department held a homosexual pride rally at the US embassy in Islamabad....

How the GOP presidential candidate and his private equity firm staged an epic wealth grab, destroyed jobs – and stuck others with the bill. The great criticism of Mitt Romney, from both sides of the aisle, has always been that he doesn't stand for anything. He's a flip-flopper, they say, a lightweight, a cardboard opportunist who'll say anything to get elected. The critics couldn't be more wrong. Mitt Romney is no tissue-paper man. He's closer to being a revolutionary, a backward-world version of Che or Trotsky, with tweezed nostrils instead of a beard, a half-Windsor instead of a leather jerkin....

Here is the link to http://youtu.be/Pvr8SBu0dLg Army Staff Sgt. Joshua Eisenhauer is a two-tour veteran of combat in Afghanistan and an airborne trooper with the distinctive red beret of the 82nd Airborne Division. The 1999 graduate of Fossil Ridge High School is also a criminal defendant, housed in a maximum-security prison in Raleigh, N.C., facing a raft of serious felonies and, according to the Army and his family, suffering from severe symptoms of post-traumatic stress. What happened Jan. 13 in Eisenhauer's apartment outside the gates of Fort Bragg seems inexplicable to those who know him. Authorities say Eisenhauer opened fire...

Staff Sgt. Joshua Eisenhauer is a U.S. Army soldier who suffered severe and debilitating wounds while serving in Afghanistan. Joshua now suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a direct result of those injuries and his combat experiences in Afghanistan. The PTSD has caused Joshua to have flashbacks on multiple occasions, including the night of January 13, 2012 when members of the Fayetteville, North Carolina Fire Department came to his apartment in response to a small fire in his apartment complex. When the firemen tried to forcibly enter the apartment, Joshua, experiencing a PTSD flashback instinctively resisted, believing that...

A NASA-sponsored researcher at the University of Iowa has developed a way for spacecraft to hunt down hidden magnetic portals in the vicinity of Earth. These portals link the magnetic field of our planet to that of the sun. Excellent video on the science of our magnetosphere and how we are just learning about field reversal that open and close between earth and the sun.

A flurry of solar activity in early March dumped enough heat in Earth's upper atmosphere to power every residence in New York City for two years. The heat has since dissipated, but there's more to come as the solar cycle intensifies. At 2:16 minutes into the video it very clearly says that the CO2 is one of the most efficient coolants in the atmosphere and that it reflected 95% of the radiation back into outer space. This entire series of videos is excellent.

US President Barack Obama has ordered the US Navy and Air Force to accelerate preparations for a limited air offensive against the Assad regime and the imposition of no-fly zones over Syria, DEBKAfile reports. Their mission will be to knock out Assad’s central regime and military command centers so as to shake regime stability and restrict Syrian army and air force activity for subduing rebel action and wreaking violence on civilian populations.
