The scientists at the Centers for Disease Control have shown their prejudice against firearms ownership once again. They have done so with selection bias and word manipulation. Scientists are supposed to evaluate factual information to arrive at testable theories about objective reality. A problem for all scientists is selection bias.  Scientists, as with nearly all humans, are more likely to include data that bolsters their pre-conceptions, and exclude data that refutes their theories. A former director of the Atlanta-based U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been arrested in New York on a sex abuse charge. The New York Police Department says Thomas Frieden, who also is a former New York City health commissioner, was arrested on Friday morning in Brooklyn. Live poultry in backyard flocks are linked to several multistate outbreaks of salmonella infections that have now sickened 212 people in 44 states, federal health officials warned Monday.
