City spokesman Jamie Van Pelt said the shooting appeared to be part of a domestic dispute. At least five people were taken to a hospital. Four are in critical condition, police said Friday night. Former Vice President Al Gore has been hit by new allegations of sexual assault. This time, it's two more massage therapists bringing the charges. *** The new allegations are said to have taken place at two hotels - one in Beverly Hills in 2007, when Gore was in Hollywood for the Oscars, the other in Tokyo in 2008. *** Molly Hagerty, the Portland victim, has also recently piped up with some new evidence: a pair of stained black pants and the remains of some candy supposedly gobbled by Gore.

World leaders must show their commitment to tackling global warming by signing the Paris climate agreement at a ceremony in April at the United Nations, climate change activist and former US vice president Al Gore said. "There is an overwhelming amount of hope that the Paris climate agreement could be a turning point towards a more resilient, low-carbon future," Gore told Reuters. "While the deal is not enough by itself, it is a major step forward." The key is for countries to switch to renewable energy, Gore said. "With the Paris agreement, we send a signal to the business community...

With its engineers involved in more than 2,000 open source projects, you'd have to agree that open source has more than a foothold at Microsoft these days. Most recently, for example, the browser team made the Chakra JavaScript engine that powers both Edge and Internet Explorer open source, for a very practical reason. Node, the popular JavaScript runtime, currently works only with Google's V8 JavaScript engine. With Chakra now open source, Microsoft can take the fork of Node that it created to run on Chakra and contribute it back to the project -- which means developers who use Node will...

Former Vice President Al Gore is picking a fight with Fox News over a year-old management memo that he says betrays a bias against global warming science. "Fox News has consistently delivered false and misleading information to its viewers about the climate crisis," Gore wrote on his website. "The leaked e-mails now suggest that this bias comes directly form the executives responsible for their news coverage." Gore was referring to a Dec. 8, 2009 memo attributed to Fox News' Washington Managing Editor Bill Sammon and posted by the liberal-leaning website Media Matters, according to The Hill newspaper. In the memo,...

Video 2:03 Former US vice president Al Gore visited Mexico on August 4, 2010, invited by Governor Enrique Peña Nieto, a controversial politician and likely candidate for the presidency in 2012. Gore gave a private speech to 300 invited guests. The press was barred from the event. Mexico state authorities refused to disclose how much Gore - who receives on average $170,000 US dollars per speech - was paid, and the source of his speaker fee remains a mystery.

We know the Portland Police are not reopening Al Gore's sexual abuse case because business is slow. Molly Hagerty is the massage therapist's name. Some are claiming the hotel's video surveillance may support her claims, and the Enquirer states there is DNA evidence, video footage and a "key witness." See a video re-enactment. Police say further investigation will only benefit Al Gore.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Former Vice President Al Gore welcomes a Portland police decision to reopen an investigation into a massage therapist's allegations that he groped her at a hotel four years ago, his spokeswoman said. Kalee Kreider said that Gore "unequivocally and emphatically" denied making unwanted sexual advances. She added that "further investigation into this matter will only benefit Mr. Gore." Portland police did not say why it was reopening the investigation in its brief statement Wednesday. "It's now an open investigation and I can't comment," police spokeswoman Mary Wheat said. Police earlier said they considered the case closed...
