The Navy has dismissed charges against Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher’s platoon leader and ordered a review of its justice system. Lt. Jacob Portier was charged with covering up war crimes in connection with the Gallagher prosecution and faced trial in September. “Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson today dismissed all charges in the case of Lt. A prominent supporter of President Barack Obama and co-founder of the Human Rights Campaign was arrested last week on charges of sodomy and sexual abuse related to what authorities said was an encounter with a juvenile male. Terrence Bean, 66, a major Democratic donor and a celebrated gay-rights activist, was indicted on two felony charges of sodomy and a misdemeanor count of sexual abuse by a grand jury and arrested in Oregon Wednesday, according to a statement from the Portland Police Bureau. Stuart Prescott, 48, of Suwannee Florida shot and killed Tyler Snellgrove, 18, also of Suwannee. The shooting occurred on 13 September, 2014. Deputies interviewed witnesses and obtained a warrant to search Prescott's house. Prescott was arrested and placed in Jail on the 14th or 15th of September, 2014. He was charged with 1st degree murder. The only news at the time stated that Prescott come out onto the porch and had a confrontation with Snellgrove. Pulaski County authorities have dropped charges against two foreign military officers who were training at Fort Leonard Wood when they were arrested. The Rolla Daily News reports that Mohammed Mahmoud Omar Mefleh, of Jordan, and Antoine Chlela, of Lebanon, were charged in October with enticement of a child and harassment. Court records say the men allegedly approached a 12-year-old girl at a bus stop and asked her to enter their vehicle. A Northern Kentucky teacher is facing criminal charges after police say she sexually abused a student. Twenty-five-year-old Nicole Howell, of Covington, turned herself in to police Tuesday morning. Howell, a teacher from Dayton High School, is charged with one count of sexual abuse. Police say a student traveled to Covington to meet her. Investigators say the alleged relationship occurred between September 1 and November 1 of last year. Howell is out jail after posting a $5,000 bond.
