WASHINGTON (AP) — Man-made climate change about doubled the chances for the type of heavy downpours that caused devastating Louisiana floods last month, a new federal study finds. Using two different sets of measurements and computer model runs simulating thousands of years, scientists found a clear sign of global warming in the rain that triggered the flooding that killed at least 13 people, damaged 150,000 homes and cost at least $8.7 billion. More than 26 inches of rain fell in one week, with nearly a foot in just one day, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

A biracial family in Wichita, Kansas, was shocked when, on Monday, they were hit with an unsigned letter that said they were doing their neighborhood “a great disrespect” because of the presence of their children. “We have noticed there are some black children at your residence,” the note read. “Maybe you are running a daycare or these are your children. In either case, we have put our house for sale. This neighborhood does not need any blacks in it.” “There is a reason for saying the other side of the tracks. That is where these people belong. You have done...

But based on this list, maybe instead you should think about sad orphans and the literal embodiment of death appearing in a man's eyes shortly before he meets his grisly demise. Here are some of the most controversial moments hidden in Disney movies...

The first show of this fashion season also happened to be the most significant. “Made For History” is a collection of 15 designers’ casual creations—t-shirts, bandanas, a canvas clutch, all on sale today—that not only represents a simple way to declare support for Hillary Clinton’s historic presidential bid, but also, last night, was transformed into a runway performance that was a meaningful kick-off to this fall’s international fashion weeks. A step team clad in Public School’s “Make Herstory” tees got things underway with riotous claps, stomps, drums, and whistles. (snip) Ms. Wintour, in a dress of Wu’s Made For History...

I have followed the last several presidential races on electoral-vote.com, and have found their commentary to be rather left-leaning, but their results to be fairly accurate. In today's data, we see something pretty interesting, as compared to yesterday's data: 9/6 - Clinton 312, Trump 197, Ties 299/7 - Clinton 323, Trump 197, Ties 18 On the surface it looks like Clinton gained ground as compared to yesterday. But if you look more deeply, you see that there's been a lot of movement that isn't readily apparent from the simple count of electoral votes. Between yesterday and today a total of...

Step 1: Something is Wrong! I have always been passionate about politics. I have always participated in politics as a citizen. I love America. I believe in our founding principles, and I hate watching those principles evaporate in the heat of pagan American culture. In 2004, I took my love of country to a new level, and I entered the political world, not merely as a citizen, but as a pastor. I have learned something during the last ten years about politics that you need to understand, because it will change the way you view your duty in the voting...

In the post analysis and the day after the debates, you will hear how she was the adult in the room and how she understood the issues etc. There's no chance that any journalist or writer on the right or left who attends cocktail parties is going to say that Trump won the debates. Even in 2012, Charles Krauthammer gave the edge to Obama in the second debate. The Hillary camp knows this, so she isn't campaigning hard now.

The number of parents taking advantage of a dedicated college-savings plan, such as a 529 plan, is also on the rise, up 62% since 2007. However, it's still not enough. "While families have adopted more active and effective savings habits over the past decade,...
