Arsonists went on the attack in Berlin again on Tuesday night, burning a series of expensive cars for a second night in a row, this time hitting at least 15. Police said they were doing everything they could to stop the attacks, which have become a regular feature of life in the capital. Investigators believe there may be a political motive to them. The first fires Tuesday night started at about 11 pm in Berlin-Spandau, Charlottenburg and then tracked to Friedrichshain. Most of the arsons on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning appear to have been centred in Charlottenburg. On...
  • Obama's approval rating on the economy falls to a new low

About seven out of 10 Americans are unhappy with how President Obama is handling the economy, a new low that represents a significant decline since mid-May on the one of the most politically sensitive issues, the Gallup poll reported Wednesday. According to the poll, just 26% of those surveyed approved of the president’s handling of the economy, while 71% disapproved. Obama earned comparably poor approval ratings for his handling of the federal budget deficit and creating jobs, at 24% and 29%, respectively.

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- The Air Force said Wednesday it is discharging a hero of the so-called birther movement who refused to report to duty in Germany for a few days earlier this month because he doubts President Barak Obama's citizenship. Staff Sgt. Daryn Moran expects to be discharged within the next week. Although the 41-year-old Nebraska man refused to report to duty and had called for Obama's arrest in statements on websites, several other things contributed to his discharge, including his opposition to Obama's decision to allow gays to serve openly in the military.

I would never suggest that the crimes committed against blacks in America through the years were minor, nor justified, but as bad as white Americans treated blacks, there has never been instances where white teenagers roamed the parks, beaches, and fairgrounds for the express purpose of attacking people just because they are black. If they did, there would have been hell to pay by both the law and their parents. As I pondered the lack of legal actions against the mobs of marauding blacks, I was reminded of the time in the late 1990s when Wayne LaPierre stated that then...

The White House on Wednesday said President Barack Obama would unveil fresh ideas to jump-start the economy and cut deficits, but details offered so far appeared to be a compilation of old proposals. Obama faces serious doubts among Americans about his economic leadership and is now trying to convince skeptical voters and Wall Street that he has a workable plan to keep the United States from dipping back into recession. The White House said Obama will give a speech after the September 5 Labor Day holiday to outline measures to boost hiring and find budget savings that surpass the $1.5...

Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) fired back Wednesday at President Obama, who admonished the Republican presidential candidate to watch his words more carefully. Perry said "actions speak louder than words" after Obama's public admonishment yesterday on CNN for Perry's comments that an expanded money supply by Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke would be "almost treasonous." "Yesterday the president said I needed to watch what I say," Perry told a crowd in New Hampshire at a politics-and-eggs breakfast, broadcast online. "I'd just like to respond, if I may: Mr. President, actions speak louder than words. My actions as governor

Over the past couple of months Rick Perry has been considering a run for POTUS. As of Saturday, August 13, he’s in with both feet. Since he’s been Governor of Texas for over ten years, folks from the other “56 states” are asking Texans what kind of governor he’s been and what we think. I decided that what I “think” isn’t good enough – I could be wrong. So, I decided to do some research on Perry’s record and form a more accurate, fact-based opinion on his qualifications instead of relying on my general perceptions. In the spirit of full...

Seeking a jolt for a wilting economy, President Barack Obama will give a major speech in early September to unveil new ideas for speeding up job growth and helping the struggling poor and middle class, a senior administration official told The Associated Press. The president's plan is likely to contain tax cuts, jobs-boosting infrastructure ideas and steps that would specifically help the long-term unemployed. The official emphasized that all of Obama's proposals would be fresh ones, not a rehash of plans he has pitched for many weeks and still supports, including his "infrastructure bank" idea to finance construction jobs. On...

http://www.mrctv.org/video/104680 And so it begins. When a candidate has a record of success to run on, what is left in the arsenal of a liberal? NBC is the first mainstream media outlet to falsify a racism claim against new presidential candidate Rick Perry of Texas. With the election 15 months away MSNBC’s Ed Schultz dedicated an entire segment to self satisfying and nonsensical political flatulence. The lesson for GOP hopeful, don’t use the word black in any context. Just imagine if Perry had claimed to give his opponent a black eye.

Recent headlines have pondered the apparent paradox of economic recovery without corresponding increases in jobs – called the “jobless recovery” by some. I believe I have resolved the apparent conundrum using a detailed analytical technique. Don’t blame your politicians because few of them are familiar with this methodology, and no liberal has ever heard of it. I like to call this special technique…common sense.
  • Ohio Business Owner Shot For Being Non-Union, Police Investigating

With around 25 employees, John King owns one of the largest non-union electrical contracting businesses in the Toledo, Ohio area. As a non-union contractor, his business happens to be doing well at a time when unions in the construction industry are suffering. This, it seems, has made the usual animosity unions have for him even greater, making him a prime target of union thugs. So much so, that one of them tried to kill him last week at his home. John King didn’t plan on being an enemy of unions. In fact, he says all he’s ever wanted to...

President Obama has again acknowledged the necessity of doing something many Democrats fiercely oppose -- reforming entitlement programs, such as Medicare and Social Security. On a Midwest bus tour stop in Minnesota, Obama spoke in favor of changes to entitlement programs being eyed by the 12-member congressional committee charged with finding budget savings that will get past partisan gridlock, stave off future credit downgrades and increase the federal debt. "There have been times when our side, when Democrats aren’t always as flexible as we need to be," Obama said. "Sometimes I do get frustrated when I hear folks say, 'You...

Here’s an interesting picture from the 1940s. Henry Wallace chatting with Chicago journalist and Progressive Party supporter Vernon Jarrett. A pack of 30 teens helped themselves to items in a Maryland 7-Eleven early Sunday morning in what authorities have labeled another instance of a possible flash mob. The store, which is located in Germantown, Md., was empty at 2 a.m. Sunday morning when a group of teenagers calmly walked in and picked out items as though they were shopping. Then, just as calmly as they entered the store, police say, they exited without paying for the items. A surveillance video from the store obtained by FoxNews.com shows a large group of teens taking candy and other snacks. They appear...

NEW YORK—American consumers can expect bigger grocery bills in 2012, even as commodity prices are forecast to fall. (snip) In a recent report, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said grocery-store prices will likely rise 3% to 4% in 2012, on par with this year, even though ingredient costs may fall. The biggest increases would likely be in the first half of next year, but prices would most likely ease later in 2012, said USDA economist Richard Volpe.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is meeting at the White House Wednesday afternoon with Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke. The meeting comes a day after the Fed announced it would offer super-low interest rates for two more years. The move was an unprecedented step to stem an economic free fall that dragged the stock market down earlier this week. The president was also scheduled to meet separately with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Wednesday.

I don't normally listen to Hannity, but I turned him on and heard Juan Williams yelling at Sean. Juan accused Sean of lying about Obama's record and Juan was sounding real radical. Juan told Sean that he's anti-American for opposing Obama's record, and Sean said, "that's the most despicable thing you've ever said to me." I never defended Juan when he was fired from NPR. He's a liberal who pretends he's moderate.
