**SNIP** Later that day, Mayor Jenny Durkan met with “CHOP” protesters at a nearby church where they gave her “demands” to be met. Anthony says they remain in a stalemate with the City. “The mayor stressed that she wanted us to remove a majority of the concrete borders that were not surrounding the immediate precinct,” said Anthony. “We were unable to come to an agreement with the mayor’s aide while she was here,” he added. “So, we’re still stuck here at the same position we were.” **SNIP** Elsewhere around “CHOP,” some of the painted boards that had been put up...

A flyer posted in the part of downtown Seattle being occupied by protesters makes it clear that white people need a stern talking-to. The flyer bearing the title of “Dear non-black photographers” set out rules for photographing what takes place in Seattle’s Capitol Hill Occupied Protest area. “If your work lacked diversity prior to documenting these protests (or highlighting black pain) what’s you plan going forward to diversify your work?” it said. The flyer drew condemnation on Twitter — especially since its rules were specifically aimed at readers based on their race.

A leader of Seattle’s so-called Capitol Hill Organized Protest area says peaceful protest is not one of her priorities. Documentary filmmaker Ami Horowitz shared with Fox News a short clip of his interactions with protesters, including CHOP leader Jaiden Grayson. “Every single day that I show up here, I’m not here to peacefully protest,” Grayson said. “I’m here to disrupt until my demands are met. “You cannot rebuild until you break it all the way down.” CHOP initially took over six city blocks. Although the city of Seattle had an agreement to reduce that footprint and open some blocked roads...

The radical enclave in Seattle known as the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) will apparently feature a Juneteenth celebration on Friday that will be restricted to black people, while white people are being asked to provide security and donations. Fox News reported Friday that the CHOP, formerly known as the “CHAZ” (for Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone), would be entirely closed to white people. However, it appears that the segregation is only taking place in Cal Anderson Park. tomorrow at #CHOP from 8 AM-8 PM we are having a #BLACKOUT for Juneteenth. That means Black folks on grounds only, we ask...
  • Jonestown: 13 Things You Should Know About Cult Massacre (Similarities with Seattle/Chop?)

Until the September 11th attacks, the tragedy in Jonestown on November 18th, 1978 represented the largest number of American civilian casualties in a single non-natural event. It is unfathomable now, as it was then, that more than 900 Americans – members of a San Francisco-based religious group called the Peoples Temple – died after drinking poison at the urging of their leader, the Reverend Jim Jones, in a secluded South American jungle settlement. Photographs taken after the carnage forever document the sheer enormity of the event: the bodies of hundreds of people, including children, lying face down in the grass....
  • CHOP Legal: Human rights lawyer sets up shop in Seattle's autonomous zone

There are many questions surrounding what will happen with the “autonomous zone” now called Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) established in downtown Seattle. Fox News spoke to Michael Withey, a human rights lawyer and longtime Seattle activist, about CHOP’s purpose and how it has developed over the past week. “I don't speak for the leadership. I only have gone there as a legally trained person in human rights. But I think it's going to be there for a long time. As the mayor said, ‘it's going to be a summer of love.’ That's what I hope it is, but it's...
