An elderly Las Vegas, NV homeowner used his gun to fend off multiple home invaders early Thursday morning. Police say that an unknown number of intruders kicked in the door of a home near Rancho and Vegas Drive at 5:30AM. The intruders are said to have attacked the elderly homeowner, prompting him to grab his gun and fire in self defense. Several hundred people including soldiers, families and friends gathered at a Fort Hood, Texas stadium Friday night for a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of Thursday’s shooting rampage that left 13 dead and 30 wounded. An Army chaplain offered prayers for the families and the victims. An armed Columbus, OH home invader was fatally shot in self defense by one of his victims. Police say that several people were inside a home on Northglen Drive when an armed home invader and at least one accomplice rushed in through the door and threatened the lives of those present. The director of a southeast Texas Planned Parenthood office has resigned after eight years. Abby Johnson had a change of heart after watching an ultrasound of an abortion. She now works for the Coalition for Life, a pro-life group that often prays outside her old Planned Parenthood office.
