Anti-Israel protesters donned Benjamin Netanyahu masks and smeared their hands with fake blood for a Sunday sit-in against the Israeli prime minister in Washington. Activists led by the radical CODEPINK group demonstrated outside the pro-Israel AIPAC lobby’s annual conference at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. In addition to the masks, many protesters wore black-and-white “keffiyeh” scarves to give themselves a distinctly Arab look. The nasty weather didn’t stop a group of around 60 anti-Israel activists from storming the steps of the Washington Convention Center and blocking at least one entrance to the conference grounds. Two anti-war protesters -- one of them an 83-year-old woman -- were arrested Saturday outside the home of former Vice President Dick Cheney in suburban Washington, police said.
