Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) said it would split into two listed companies, separating its computer and printer businesses from its faster-growing corporate hardware and services operations, and eliminate another 5,000 jobs as part of its turnaround plan. Criminals have discovered a flaw in OS X, the Mac operating system, and are using it to control thousands of Apple computers around the world. The Russian security company Dr. Web first discovered the software, known as "Mac.BackDoor.iWorm." The maker of hit mobile video game Angry Birds, Rovio, will lay off 130 staff, it announced on Thursday. New malware targeting Mac machines, opening backdoors on them and roping them into a botnet currently numbering around 17,000 zombies has been spotted and analyzed by malware researchers of Russian AV company Dr. Web.
