Federal authorities arrested Trenton, N.J., Mayor Tony Mack and more than half a dozen other people early Monday in connection with an ongoing corruption probe, NBC 4 New York has learned. Tony Mack, the mayor of Dirty Jersey's capital city of Trenton, has been busted with several others by the FBI on corruption charges as reported by WNBC: "the arrests are the latest development in an ongoing federal investigation into alleged corruption within Mack's administration, which has been marked by accusations of nepotism and reckless spending." Also arrested was top campaign contributor Joseph "JoJo" Giorgianni who "also been charged on a separate complaint involving charges of drug dealing" as reported by Alex Zdan for The Times. The West Bloomfield Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their own this morning. According to media reports, the West Bloomfield Police Officer was shot and killed early this morning. West Bloomfield is located about 40 minutes northwest of Detroit. Authorities are at a home where a man has barricaded himself inside with a gun. There is a bomb squad there as well. This could be related to the shooting.
