NEW YORK (AP) — Longtime “Today” show viewers are being treated to a familiar sight this week as Katie Couric returns to the co-anchor chair for the first time in more than a decade. Couric rejoined Matt Lauer on Monday to begin a weeklong stint on the NBC morning program. She told Lauer, “It just feels like I never left.”

You probably recall that bit of anti-gun rights hackery known as Under the Gun, hosted by Katie Couric. She wound up being sued for defamation by the members of the Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) who were intentionally edited to make them look clueless. As with all such cases, this one is taking its sweet time to wend through the legal process, but Couric and the film team are seeking to shorten the process by having the case dismissed out of hand.

Conservative Review recently attended the New York screening of Katie Couric’s new documentary, “I Voted?”, which explores the problem of unreliable voting technology and “voter integrity.” Director Jason Grant Smith has marketed the film as “non-partisan,” but with Couric as the executive producer, we had our doubts. “I Voted?” addresses a variety of concerns regarding the United States electoral system — from the “amateurs” operating polling places, to untraceable ballot machines that make recounts virtually impossible, to online hacking by foreign enemies (naturally, Vladimir Putin has a cameo), to the inconsistencies that occur with state-regulated voting.
