Backup tapes containing as many as 24,000 Lois Lerner emails were destroyed by an IRS entity officially known as the “Media Management Midnight Unit” located in Martinsburg, West Virginia, according to documentation released this week by the House Oversight Committee. In all, 422 backup tapes holding the emails were magnetically “degaussed” despite an agency-wide preservation order and congressional subpoena. Degaussing is a process whereby powerful magnets are used to erase data on a storage tape. The preservation order came from IRS Chief Technology Officer Terence Millholland in response to Congressional subpoenas over Lois Lerner’s emails. However, the agency completely failed to ensure...

A PATTERN of cutting corners, a patina of entitlement and inevitability, has led to this. Destroying digital messages and thwarting official investigations while acting all innocent about wiping out sensitive material. Avoiding reporters after giving disingenuous explanations at uncomfortable news conferences. Claiming egregious transgressions are a private matter and faux controversy while sending out high-power lawyers and spin doctors to deflect and minimize. Two controlling superstars with mutable hair and militant fans, married to two magnetic superstars who can make a gazillion an hour for flashing their faces and who have been known to stir up trouble. A pair of...

As a Dutch Amerophile I will never understand why Americans are willing to let their youngest generation be slaughtered by the professional mass murderers of Planned Parenthood. Some accomplices in this genocide (ironically, mostly against black babies!) say that the victims aren’t actually babies, but they know better than that: the babies’ hearts are beating, and their body parts are sold for experimental research. If they weren’t babies, you couldn’t use their organs. It’s simple logic even a die hard progressive can follow, I presume. So what drives this continuing slaughter? I’ve read a lot of opinion pieces by leftists,...

The liberal media feeding frenzy about a quarter-century-old alleged marital rape involving GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, and former wife Ivana, has a fury that was strangely absent when Bill Clinton was credibly accused of rape by Juanita Broaddrick in a Little Rock hotel room in 1978 when William Jefferson Clinton was attorney general of Arkansas. Ivana says her alleged “rape” never happened, Juanita Broaddrick says hers did. So why aren’t Hillary and Bill being peppered with questions about it as Donald and Ivana are? Perhaps because unlike liberal nemesis Trump’s case, Clinton’s more credidble story is now considered “old...

President Obama argued “these programs aren’t in crisis” while discussing Medicare and Medicaid during his Weekly Address on Saturday. (transcript excerpt) "If one of the best measures of a country is how it treats its more vulnerable citizens — seniors, the poor, the sick — then America has a lot to be proud of. Think about it. Before Social Security, too many seniors lived in poverty. Before Medicare, only half had some form of health insurance. Before Medicaid, parents often had no help covering the cost of care for a child with a disability. But as Americans, we declared that...

A federal judge has ordered the State Department to ask Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to certify under penalty of perjury that she has turned over some of the work-related emails she kept on a private server during the four years she served as secretary of state. U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued the order Friday in connection with a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit the conservative group Judicial Watch filed in 2013 seeking records about the employment status of Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who worked as Clinton's deputy chief of staff but later transferred to a part-time job...

Executives of Planned Parenthood’s federally subsidized meat markets — your tax dollars at work — lack the courage of their convictions. They should drop the pretense of conducting a complex moral calculus about the organs they harvest from the babies they kill. First came the video showing a salad-nibbling, wine-sipping Planned Parenthood official explaining how “I’m going to basically crush below, I’m going to crush above” whatever organ (“heart, lung, liver”) is being harvested. Then the president of a Planned Parenthood chapter explained the happy side of harvesting: “For a lot of the women participating in the fetal tissue donation...

Planned Parenthood lobbied the Department of State many times during Hillary Clinton’s tenure there and received tens of millions of dollars from foreign policy agencies over the past few years, according to a new report. As secretary of state, Clinton attacked the Mexico City Policy, which bans federal funding of abortion overseas. Her husband revoked the policy during his administration and President Obama lifted the ban upon taking office in 2009. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which is tied to the State Department, steered more than $100 million in funding to Planned Parenthood, its international affiliates, and...

We starting to learn new details about Jesus Deniz-Mendoza, an 18-year-old legal immigrant from Mexico who is accused of murdering a “Good Samaritan” couple and wounding their daughter during a July 29 attack in Montana. Deniz-Mendoza, who also goes by the name Jesus Yeizon Deniz, was admitted legally into the United State in 2013: And he was out on bond after a recent burglary arrest in Wyoming: ICE couldn’t do anything about his arrest, however, because he was a legal immigrant. (snip) Was then 16-year-old Mendoza admitted to the U.S. as a DREAMer? Did he actually enter the U.S. in...

State Dept. fails to release 1,000 messages The State Department admitted it was violating a judge’s order Friday in releasing only 1,356 new emails from former Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton’s time in the administration, with officials saying they’re falling behind because they are having to run all of the documents by intelligence agencies to make sure classified documents aren’t being released. It’s the latest stumble for a department put on the spot by Mrs. Clinton’s unique email set-up, which saw her reject a State Department account and instead issue herself a private account, kept on a server she maintained at...

U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan issued an order late Friday afternoon ordering former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and two of her most intimate State Department aides, Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills, to account for, under penalty of perjury, their use of Clinton’s ‘home-brew’ server kept at her Chappaqua, New York home during Clinton’s four-year tenure as secretary, as well as any official documents in their possession. The order came in a FOIA lawsuit by Judicial Watch that was re-opened by Judge Sullivan in June after Clinton’s circumvention of the FOIA laws was revealed when news broke of her...

He was beaten so badly, the correctional officers were unable to accept him, and sent him straight to a hospital. In the police report, all present officers reported that Hopkins was combative, and that Russell who beat him to...

TORONTO, July 29, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) - Though Planned Parenthood in the United States is reeling from videos showing senior staff selling fetal body parts from its abortion facilities, in Canada the Abortion Rights Coalition (CARC) has responded by blithely encouraging women to donate their own aborted children for research. “If you ever need an abortion and would like to donate your fetal tissue towards research, here's how,” the Canadian Abortion Rights Coalition posted on its Facebook page on July 23, adding, "Canadian clinics do this too. Everything is handled under strict regulations and ethical guidelines.” But when asked to confirm...

Former president Jimmy Carter said Tuesday on the nationally syndicated radio show the Thom Hartmann Program that the United States is now an “oligarchy” in which “unlimited political bribery” has created “a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors.” Both Democrats and Republicans, Carter said, “look upon this unlimited money as a great benefit to themselves.” Carter was responding to a question from Hartmann about recent Supreme Court decisions on campaign financing like Citizens United. …
