Any day that Hillary Clinton isn’t president is a good day. That has been my personal mantra since Donald Trump surprised the world and defeated the presumed winner. It didn’t seem possible at the time but my disdain for the woman has only grown, not lessened over time since that night in 2016.(snip) At every opportunity, she personally attacks President Trump. Interviewers are delighted and Hillary gets some headlines. So, how is Hillary handling her time in lockdown due to the coronavirus? I assume she’s in lockdown mode, given her age and medical history. She is posting on Twitter in...

President Trump's successful operation to take out Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi sent Democrats scrambling on Sunday, as several top party leaders had complained publicly in recent days that the White House had no "real plan" to combat the terror group following the U.S. pullout in Syria. In a dramatic sign of how Democrats' messaging apparently backfired, NBC's "Saturday Night Live" ran an ill-timed sketch suggesting that Trump had created "jobs" for ISIS -- just hours before the president held a news conference announcing al-Baghdadi's demise. The sketch aired around the time the two-hour late-night raid in northwest Syria...

The George W Bush administration plans to launch an air strike against Iran within the next two months, an informed source tell, echoing other reports that have surfaced in the media in the United States recently. Two key US senators briefed on the attack planned to go public with their opposition to the move, according to the source, but their projected New York Times op-ed piece has yet to appear. The source, a retired US career diplomat and former assistant secretary of state still active in the foreign affairs community, speaking anonymously, said last week that the US plans an...

House Republican leader John Boehner, just a day after the Sept. 11 anniversary, thrust his party's election-year emphasis on national security back into the spotlight Tuesday when he said he "wondered" if Democrats were more interested in safeguarding the rights of accused terrorists than protecting Americans. The Ohio Republican's statement came after President Bush's Sept. 11 anniversary speech Monday evening drew the anger of Democrats who charged that it lapsed into partisanship. The highly charged rhetoric showed that the confluence of terrorism, national security and the war in Iraq is a key issue in a bitterly fought midterm election campaign...

RUSH: The 16 provisions of the Patriot Act that go by the wayside since the Patriot Act was -- it technically wasn't voted down (story). There was a filibuster attempt. The Patriot Act itself never came up to a vote. They had a cloture vote to try to kill a filibuster. They couldn't get 60. (Vote total) They got 52. So we're not going to vote on the Patriot Act, which is the same thing as voting against it. A lot of really yellow-bellied Republicans joined this effort, aided in no small part by this bogus New York Times story...

Rumors have been circulating that Sen. Joe Lieberman (D-CT) could be tapped to replace the U.S. Secretary of Defense DONALD RUMSFELD. Following yesterday’s speech by the Secretary of Defense, in which he painted a fake optimistic picture of Iraq's future, Senator John Kerry issued a statement on RAW STORY saying: “Secretary RUMSFELD today sent dangerous mixed signals about Iraq. Does the Defense Secretary really just throw up his hands and accept that on-going attacks are inevitable in Iraq for the foreseeable future? Is he now admitting that the BUSH Administration's mistakes have made Iraq what it was not before the...

Has anyone seen The Defender? It's an action movie with Dolph Lundgren. But it has a good political plot. It's really smart--for a Dolph Lundgren film. The story is mainly about a national security team that has to protect the secretary of defense while she has a secret meeting with a terrorist. I don't want to give any of the good plot twists away, but it's a quite a shocker.

WASHINGTON - Congress should conduct an official inquiry to determine whether President Bush intentionally misled the nation about the reasons for toppling Saddam Hussein, a senior House Democrat suggested Thursday. New York Rep. Charles Rangel (news, bio, voting record) was among Democratic House members who participated in a forum to air demands that the White House provide more information about what led to the decision to go to war in Iraq. "Quite frankly, evidence that appears to be building up points to whether or not the president has deliberately misled Congress to make the most important decision a president has...
