Remember just a few weeks ago when all the polls were showing Democrats winning landlslide victories? The DUmmies were already breaking out their champagne bottles to celebrate in preparation for the Bush impeachment and the purge trials of the Republicans. However, in recent days, the polls show that the races are starting to tighten up. This can be expected since all midsummer polls are WORTHLESS. In the middle of the summer, people are focused on vacations, NOT politics. Just ask President Dukakis who led Bush 41 by about 20 points in July 1988. As a result, the DUmmies are...

Edward Felten, a Princeton University computer science professor, along with two of his graduate students on Wednesday stirred up controversy surrounding the usage of electronic voting (e-voting) machines in U.S. elections by releasing a paper that claims they were able to hack the machines and upload malicious programs that could potentially modify vote tabulation, as well as shut down the machines, the Associated Press reports via Forbes.com. Felten posted the paper on the Princeton website, and it describes how he and his students obtained and tested a Diebold AccuVote TS e-voting machine and found a handful of vulnerabilities, including a...

Some professors at Princeton University have posted a video on YouTube showing how to hack into the Diebold voting machines that are supposed to be used in 40% of the elections this fall. On Democratic Underground they're talking about how to steal cards just like the voting machines use from Diebold laundry machines used in laundromats, and then reprogram them to change the votes on the voting machines.

This paper presents a fully independent security study of a Diebold AccuVote-TS voting machine, including its hardware and software. We obtained the machine from a private party. Analysis of the machine, in light of real election procedures, shows that it is vulnerable to extremely serious attacks. For example, an attacker who gets physical access to a machine or its removable memory card for as little as one minute could install malicious code; malicious code on a machine could steal votes undetectably, modifying all records, logs, and counters to be consistent with the fraudulent vote count it creates.

Pa. Sued Over Electronic Voting Machines Voter advocates filed a lawsuit Tuesday seeking to stop Pennsylvania counties from using "paperless" electronic voting machines, saying that such systems leave no paper record that could be used in the event of a recount, audit or other problem. The suit asks the state's Commonwealth Court to decertify machines used in 58 of Pennsylvania's 67 counties. The other counties use optical scanning systems, in which voters fill in bubbles on paper forms that are counted in scanning machines; the plaintiffs say such systems should be in use statewide. "Whatever the initial promise may have...

APN) ATLANTA -- US Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) is pursuing numerous legal avenues to challenge the so-called “results” of not only her recent Primary and Runoff Elections, but also the fundamental reality that the current E-voting system in Georgia does not provide us with “results” that are in any way meaningful. The Congresswoman and her attorneys and campaign are looking at ways in which they can either join or support Donzella James’s legal election contest filed last week, Donzella James, who is working closely with the Congresswoman, told Atlanta Progressive News. The US Department of Justice is already said to...

If you want a good sneak preview about the whining SURE to happen right after this November's elections, you need to look no further than the recent Democrat primary election in Georgia in which Cynthia McKinney claims that those nasty machines flipped votes away from her. Even though McKinney got the most votes in the election she is now aggravated that she is forced into a runoff due to not getting an outright majority. So does she blame herself for not bothering to show up for her election debate? No. It is the fault of the Diebold machines as...

APN) ATLANTA –“You’ve got electronic voting machines. Many people called in and shared their concern. They pushed the button for Cynthia McKinney and Hank Johnson came up. It wasn’t one time, it wasn’t two times, it was many, many times,” Karen Fitzpatrick, who has been monitoring elections for US Rep. McKinney’s re-election campaign, told Atlanta Progressive News in an exclusive interview. Let me repeat: The McKinney Campaign says they have documented complaints of voters here in Georgia whose votes FLIPPED BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES on Diebold machines. “It started early this morning. There were well over 25 to 30 calls...

Remember back in 200 when George W. Bush was running for President? Even if you didn't support him, you were somewhat anticipating a Presidency with this amusing guy who didn't know the names of foreign leaders and who spoke with the eloquence of a second greater. Remember how after he was elected,Comedy Central even saw his Presidency as being whimsical enough to create a show, "That's my Bush." It was a laugh a minute back in those Bush salad days. Now we have quagmires in Iraq and Afghanistan, a budding world war centered around Israel, $3 a gallon gas, $85...

The nitwits who are incapable of understanding the grivity of lying to get us into Iraq, and then outing a CIA agent as retaliation for exposing this lie....well, they don't deserve to be American citizens because they lack the intelligence to vote!

According to CNET, the US Justice Department is giving the full Jack Abramoff to a bill sponsored by Sen Mike DeWine (R-OH) requiring all ISPs to build a dedicated info-structure for government eavesdropping. If this passes, yours, mine, and everybody’s Web surfing will be fair and legal game for Big Blowhard to peruse. What are its chances? 2006 is another election year soon to be tainted by Karl Rove’s with-us-or-against-us strategy. If he has his way by this fall, legislators who don’t support the Bush Adm’n’s newest national security measures may as well show up at campaign events wearing a...

Late Wednesday afternoon, a "Manual Hand Count Request under the Election Recount Provision" was filed at the San Diego County Registrar of Voters office by CA-50 voter Barbara Gail Jacobson. The request is for a full manual hand count of all paper ballots and paper trails in the recent June 6th Busby/Bilbray special U.S. House election in which programmed, election-ready Diebold voting machines were sent home with poll workers for days prior to the election in apparent violation of new laws and provisions by both state and federal authorities. As California state election code requires that a candidate be named...

Remember back in early 2000 when the normally stiff and dour Al Gore began appearing in public wearing denim jeans and a big flashy smile on his face while darting his head in a fashion reminiscent of Ronald Reagan? What happened was that Al Gore was FAKING confidence. Oh yes, the appearance was there all right but it was disturbingly off-kilter. Much as he tried, you could sense that Al Gore was FAKING it mainly because he didn't REALLY feel confident. Well, much the same thing is going on with the DUmmies. Although it is still 4 months from...

Brad Friedman Added to homepage Sun 18th Jun 2006, 09:43 AM No Confidence in the Busby/Bilbray Election I don't know how else to put it, but every voting machine used in last week's special election run-off for the U.S. House seat vacated by the disgraced Randy "Duke" Cunningham in California's 50th congressional district was illegal. By federal standards, rules and provisions and by California state rules, laws and provisions. And now, by the San Diego County Registrar of Voters own admission. The results of the California 50th Congressional District special election have been in for only 8 business hours and ALREADY the DUmmies and the Leftist Blogosphere are crying "VOTE FRAUD" via their favorite culprits---Diebold Voting machines. Apparently the DUmmies were NOT satisfied with their "moral victory" and wanted a REAL victory. And the only way to achieve such a victory in this election is to act like sore losers and WHINE about vote fraud as you can see in this DUmmie THREAD petulantly titled, "Results of Busby/Bilbray U.S. House Special Election in Doubt!" Yes, there is no DOUBT about...

Nearly two years after suing Diebold for faulty, uncertified voting equipment, Alameda County may cast its vote with the Ohio-based company yet again. County supervisors are scheduled to hold a special meeting Thursday to choose a new voting system expected to be in place for this fall's election. County elections officials are recommending the board choose a "blended" voting system -- consisting of paper ballots with optical scanners, plus a touch screen at each polling place -- made by either Diebold or Oakland-based Sequoia Voting Systems. Although the new system would be different from the all-touch-screen Diebold system the county...

What's wrong with you people? Your corrupt, despicable party has control of everything and you still complain. Whine and bitch. Whine and bitch. I feel sorry for you. Bill O'Reilly, Tom Delay, Rush Limbaugh mentality makes for a new meaning for Republican "CONVICTION".

Some advocates of a 2002 law mandating upgrades of the nation's voting machinery now worry the overhaul is making things worse. With the 2006 midterm elections approaching, proponents of the Help America Vote Act are filing lawsuits to block some state and election officials' efforts to comply with the act. The Help America Vote Act called for upgrading election equipment to guard against another contested outcome such as the 2000 presidential vote. Among the flaws in balloting almost six years ago were antiquated hand-operated voting machines and punch-card ballots that were difficult to read. To redress that, members of Congress...
