Questions about Preterism and it's Reconstruction Ally This article was originally from two timely editorials of The Standard Bearer Vol. 75; No. 10; February 15, 1999 (A Timely Question about Preterism), and Vol. 75; No. 16; May 15, 1999 (The Preterism of Christian Reconstruction). Part I: A Timely Question about "Preterism" by Prof. David Engelsma A reader has asked about "preterism." The question is occasioned by the series of editorials defending (Reformed) amillennialism (Standard Bearer, Jan. 15, 1995 - Dec. 15, 1996). The subject is worthy of editorial treatment. The question and my response follow. QuestionI have read your articles...

SOME of America’s most senior military commanders are prepared to resign if the White House orders a military strike against Iran, according to highly placed defence and intelligence sources. Tension in the Gulf region has raised fears that an attack on Iran is becoming increasingly likely before President George Bush leaves office. The Sunday Times has learnt that up to five generals and admirals are willing to resign rather than approve what they consider would be a reckless attack. “There are four or five generals and admirals we know of who would resign if Bush ordered an attack on Iran,”...

India sets sights on cruise missile market By Siddharth Srivastava NEW DELHI - Long considered among the top importing nations for defense hardware, India is now looking to access the fast-growing international market for cruise missiles, considered a lethally efficient weapon. US forces used almost 1,000 such missiles when they first entered Iraq in 2003, and the total worldwide market is expected to be more than US$10 billion in the next decade. An inventory of more than 80,000 such missiles is estimated already to exist around the world. Indian Defense Minister A K Anthony has said New Delhi is holding...

It is time for the American Army to withdraw from Iraq. Like the German Sixth Army, a few months before its annihilation at the decisive World War II battle of Stalingrad, U.S. forces now find themselves locked in an urban battle with a highly motivated local defender while depending upon an increasingly vulnerable supply line. This is a recipe for disaster. The war is lost for America. It need not have been, but now it is. Like the Germans at Stalingrad, the Americans have frittered away their strategic advantages and now fight with the initiative ceded to the enemy. Just...

After having read that Vanity Fair had "pointed out" the Neocon rebuttal of Bush's policy in Iraq, I wrote to David Frum this message : drzz Sent : Saturday, November 4, 2006 7:55 AM To : David Frum I discovered a claim in my local newspaper that you and some neoconservatives said critics about the Bush administration. According to the website of Vanity Fair, you said that Bush "says the words but doesn't understand the ideas." I have read also Richard Perle said the Iraq war was a mistake. I hardly believe these comments come from neoconservatives, and I write...

SAVANNAH, Ga. — Every few days, the number of House seats the Democrats are expected to win over from Republicans seems to go up another dozen or so. This summer a House takeover seemed like a tall order; but the confident predictions have grown from 20 to 30, to current predictions of anywhere from 40 to 60 Democratic pickups. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s “Red to Blue” program now includes 73 seats. Two days ago, I mentioned how the "internet well" is being poisoned by the extreme left - and the moonbat fringe of the right. I thought I would provide a quick progress report as to how one poisonous story-about President Bush-is being spread-and the identity of some of those doing the spreading.

I've noticed a lot of internet disinformation these days begins with the "hard left" and winds up being bruited about by "Libertarians" - who are more like anarchists wearing bowties. Two recent stories, and one popular "Alex Jones Truther" source are examined.

Oct. 1, 2006 — A Republican staff member warned Congressional pages five years ago to "watch out" for Congressman Mark Foley, according to a former page. Matthew Loraditch, a page in the 2001-2002 class, told ABC News he and other pages were warned about Foley by a supervisor. Loraditch, the president of the Page Alumni Association, said the pages were told "don't get too wrapped up in him being too nice to you and all that kind of stuff." Staff members at the House clerk's office did not return phone calls seeking comment. Some of the sexually explicit instant messages...

Egyptian forces say they are fighting the “Tora Bora Battle of Sinai” against a new al Qaeda mountain stronghold. Our military sources reveal the battle is raging on Jebel Magharah, 22km SW of El Arish and west of a former al Qaeda base on Jebel Hilal (alt. 654 meters). The fortified al Qaeda stronghold on Jebel Magharah is beating back an Egyptian assault on the mountain site. Signals passed among the troops describe the operation as the “Tora Bora of Sinai,” naming it after the fierce epic US-al Qaeda engagement in Afghanistan three years ago. Both sides have sustained casualties....

As students of conspiracy arguments know, the Birch Society is quite fond of citing Anatoli Golitsyn's assertions to substantiate JBS arguments about successful Soviet deception operations against the United States and the western world. In fact, the JBS recommends and sells both of Golitsyn's books. There is, however, a major dilemma contained within JBS arguments which accept Golitsyn's assertions. Let's review some background information about what Golitsyn told western intelligence agencies after his defection. The following numbered excerpts come from Edward Jay Epstein's website (link below). Epstein authored the 1989 book, Deception: The Invisible War Between the KGB and the...

The Times March 25, 2006 Mole may have been fed false information By Michael Evans, Defence Editor THE revelation that a mole inside US Central Command was sending to the Russians secret operational material about the coalition plan to invade Iraq in March 2003 is the most extraordinary development to emerge since Saddam Hussein was found in a hole in the ground. However, the mole’s betrayal might have provided little assistance to the Iraqi dictator. It is conceivable that the material was either deliberately skewed to confuse the Baghdad regime or was out of date by the time that Saddam...
