French actress Maria Schneider, who starred as Marlon Brando's lover in director Bernardo Bertolucci's sensational 1972 Last Tango In Paris, has died in that city, PEOPLE has confirmed. She was 58 and had suffered with cancer. The daughter of French actor Daniel Gelin and a Parisien bookshop owner, Schneider was l9 when she was cast in only her second screen role opposite Brando, who was then 48. Three years later, she appeared opposite Jack Nicholson in the existential drama The Passenger.

Della Reese says that she, Roma Downey and John Dye were very much "a family unit" during CBS' long-running series Touched by an Angel. But that family suffered a heavy loss with Dye's death at age 47 this week. "Roma, John and I were a family unit. We worked together every day for seven years," Reese tells The Hollywood Reporter. "We acted like a family. We lived like a family. I felt what he felt." "He was my Angel Boy, that's what I called him." The actor died from a heart attack Monday at his home in San Francisco.

Gabrielle Giffords and 17 others had just broken when some on the left were exploiting it to malign conservatives. Yet the left has blamed the “vitriolic” rhetoric of conservatives and the Tea Parties as inciting violence. The mainstream media has enabled and even joined liberals in tarring the right with inciting political violence, right down to the gossip, entertainment and “lifestyle” outlets.

Kathy Griffin announced her New Year’s resolution to continue a verbal assault on the Palin family. Only in 2011, the comedian said she intends to target Sarah Palin’s 16-year-old daughter, Willow. "I've already gone for Sarah, Todd and Bristol obviously," Griffin told The Hollywood Reporter. "But I think it's Willow's year to go down. The U.K.'s Discovery Channel has reportedly pulled its upcoming documentary Michael Jackson's Autopsy: What Really Killed Michael Jackson. The move comes after complaints from the singer's estate and a public outcry from fans. According to a new report from nymag.com, the network yanked the special out of respect for the trial of Jackson's physician Dr. Conrad Murray. "Given the commencement of legal proceedings beginning next week, and at the request of Jackson's estate, the broadcast of the medical documentary has been postponed indefinitely," network reps said in an official statement. Sarah Palin's fortunes are improving on TLC. Ratings for the politican's Alaska-based reality show grew for her third episode, reversing course after dropping sharply last week. Sarah Palin's Alaska delivered 3.5 million viewers Sunday night, rising 17% at the conclusion of the holiday weekend. Normally when ratings go down double digits for a second episode, the third outing generally falls at least a little, but not in this case. Just when Entertainment Weekly seemed to be rolling the boulder back up the hill, Time Inc. told EW staff this morning that its publisher of the last two years, Ray Chelstowski, is leaving. Mr. Chelstowski informed Paul Caine, president and group publisher of the Style & Entertainment Group at Time Inc., that he has decided to leave EW, Mr. Caine said in a staff memo. No successor was named. "I will be communicating a plan shortly, and my door is open should you have any thoughts or suggestions," said Mr. Caine, himself a former EW publisher.

President Barack Obama should make the most of his "Daily Show" appearance on Wednesday night - charming the pants off Jon Stewart and the crowd, as he did when he showed up there two years ago.
