A sentiment widely shared today, no doubt. Over at Ace’s place, DrewM issues a warning: Dear GOP, This is your last chance. If you blow this, I’m out and you need to be destroyed. What is it? Repeal ObamaCare on Day 1. Don’t worry about replace, don’t worry about anything else… [A]s soon as Mitt takes the oath of office, before his speech no one will care or remember, walk the bill up to him at the podium to sign. If this does not happen, the GOP must be destroyed and a new party built to replace it. We’ve tried...

I still get republicans who scratch their heads and wonder what "GOP-E" means. Show this to them. The "E" means: (1)Establishment. It really is _us_ conservatives vs THEM in the establishment. And I don't mean "established". Just because someone gets elected, yes, they get 'established' in their various positions and offices. But "The Establishment" is a specific group, they are the (2)Elite of the republican party. But why do we conservatives have so much disdain for the establishment? It's because they are (3)Enablers Of people like Obama, or Reid, or anybody else. How often do you hear someone like Pelosi...

Folks, Link only...http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120612/METRO/206120375/1409/metro/Bentivolio-wows-Cassis-woos-tea-party-crowdRead the article. It was talked about as well yesterday on "Thayrone X's" program ( 1600 am WAAM ), and the flavor is Cassis seems to be an establishment plug-in as noted in the article. If so, and Bentivolio is the real deal, is this someone "Sarah" can get behind?

The re-election campaign of President Barack Obama and his liberal allies have opened a new front against Republican Mitt Romney – that he is a puppet of the Tea Party and right-wingers. Too bad it is not true. Not that we would want a puppet, even one of our own, for President. Governor Romney has gained some ground among social conservatives and Tea Partiers, but he still has a long way to go to convince many conservatives to give him the pedal-to-the-metal support they are giving candidates like Richard Mourdock in Indiana or Scott Walker in Wisconsin.Conservatives are still waiting...

Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has now secured at least 88 of the 155 delegates at stake in the Texas Primary, bringing his secured delegate total to 1174, 30 more than necessary to win the majority of the delegated needed for the GOP nomination. With 4% of Texas precincts now reporting, Romney has consistently maintained or increased a 60 point lead over his nearest competitor, Congressman Ron Paul. In the contested race for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate, David Dewhurst is holding a 48% to 31% lead over his nearest rival Ted Cruz in a nine person contest.

Now that the State Primaries are almost completed, it is important to ask if Moderate Mitt from Mass. has proven himself to be able to beat unqualified, incompetent, arrogant, Marxist Obama? The RNC made the Primary Campaign rules, and so the RNC can change those same rules. No Federal Regulator will be involved, 'I guarantee it.' IF Romney has only a slight chance to win in November, THEN it is incumbent upon the RNC to DUMP Romney and choose a stellar Dark Horse, such as Rep. Allen West from Florida. Nominee Allen West would nullify Obama's race card, attack Obama"care"...

OMAHA, Neb. - The Associated Press has projected Deb Fischer as the winner of the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate. Most of the evening, Jon Bruning maintained a lead over Fischer; however, during the 9 p.m. hour, the lead switched in favor of Fischer. Just under 6,000 votes separated the top two candidates when the Associated Press called the race.

The conventional wisdom among the mainstream media is that the Republican establishment would strike back during the 2012 election, thereby blunting the influence of the conservative Tea Party movement that propelled the party to historic gains in the 2010 midterm elections. Implied in this chatter is that the power and influence of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, seen by many as the figure who can best mobilize the Tea Party movement into action, would fade as well. But recent events in Indiana, Nebraska, and Texas have shown that this conventional wisdom is false.

Trent Lott famously said "We don't need a lot of Jim DeMint disciples," Lott said in an interview. "As soon as they get here, we need to co-opt them." - and I know what I think. I want to know what you think. Has she(Coulter) surrendered to the progressives within the republican establishment?

It should come as no surprise that the Republican National Committee has been “covertly” supporting Mitt Romney throughout the primaries, as POLITICO recently “revealed.” It was the worst-kept secret in Washington Reagan, the über outsider, called for a “new Republican Party” back in 1977. Reagan wanted the GOP to shed its country club, corporate boardroom image and become a genuine conservative movement, focused on the individual. Reagan’s words threatened the status quo of the scions and heiresses of the country club and corporate boardroom set. The former California governor and his conservative followers were never accepted by these insiders [...]...

Several insiders interviewed for this story said former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will present a unique challenge to Romney’s team: Will they give her a prime spot to satisfy her fans, or reduce her role because of her polarizing nature? “You want people to generate interest and passion,” said one Republican who has organized conventions before and who, like others, didn’t want to be named. “Sarah Palin goes to a very small segment, relatively speaking, of the Republican Party. And you’re trying to put together a rainbow coalition.” (Democrats faced a similar situation in 1992, when then-Gov. Bob Casey of...

The actual Republican Establishment — political consultants, The Wall Street Journal, corporate America, former Bush advisers and television pundits — are exhorting Mitt Romney to flip-flop on his very non-Establishment position on illegal immigration. Both as governor of Massachusetts and as a presidential candidate, Romney has supported a fence on the border, E-Verify to ensure that employees are legal and allowing state police to arrest illegal aliens. He is the rare Republican who recognizes that in-state tuition, driver’s licenses and amnesty are magnets for more illegal immigration.

A conservative activist running an insurgent candidacy against the Maryland Republican establishment seized the post of national committeewoman at the state GOP convention Saturday, beating longtime party stalwart Audrey E. Scott. The victory by Nicolee Ambrose of Baltimore represents a generational changing of the guard for Maryland Republicans. Her win came after a bitterly fought internal struggle that played out in blogs and on Facebook.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Mitt Romney may be the presumptive GOP nominee against Democratic President Barack Obama, but Republican primaries will still be held in New York and elsewhere tomorrow. Guy Molinari, Romney's state campaign director, said the Romney forces are taking nothing for granted, looking to battle Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich across the Empire State, where 95 delegates are at stake. "We have to redouble our efforts and go for a clean sweep," said Molinari. "We want to win every congressional district." And that includes Staten Island. Even though Molinari said informal tracking shows Romney is "very strong"...

The GOP Establishment and Elites attack, mock, sabotage, set them up and join in with the liberals in taking down conservatives and true conservative candidates but each and every time the Establishment knows that when push comes to serve -- the conservatives wont leave the reservation and will support them when they come calling every time. They keep telling them that "you got nowhere to go, you aint leaving" The conservatives like those women, keep believing that one day things are going to get better. That next time they will be truly appreciated, that next time the husband is going...

Fourth, Remember the Difference Between Republicans and Conservatives. Conservatives look at the endorsements Mitt Romney has garnered from such establishment figures as former President George H.W. Bush and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and most importantly from business-as-usual Washington insiders, such as lobbyist Ed Gillespie, and they see advocates of positions they often opposed, not friends of the transformational agenda that won the Tea Party wave election of 2010. Surveying Romney’s record and agenda, and most importantly the people he is likely to bring to Washington to implement his agenda, movement conservatives see little likelihood a Romney administration will differ...

Freshman GOP Sen. Ron Johnson (Wis.) is looking to purge nearly his entire Washington, D.C.-based legislative team, according to multiple Republican sources familiar with the situation. Johnson's frustration with his legislative staff has been one of the worst-kept secrets in Washington for months, those close to Republican Conference politics said.

Rick Santorum’s exit from the Republican presidential campaign is a win for the Republican establishment, but it is a win that has revealed the desperate weakness of the Republican Party’s Washington insider culture. Now completely dominated by acolytes of the Bush family, the Republican Party at the national level has no real philosophical core – it is merely about holding onto power. But this is not power as it is understood in high school civics classes – the ability to use the levers of government by holding elective or appointive office. The power that the insiders of the national Republican...
