  • Wikileaks gives a hint to a q puzzle

Last night, mysterious online personality Q made the following post. A picture of an American flag named freedom. Then above it he wrote the word Apache. Many of us on Free Republic have been trying to determine what he meant by Apache. Is it a software program? Is it the first letters of different individuals names? Just now, Wikileaks shared a video of an Apache helicopter. On the tweet, it says "the sound of an Apache = the sound of freedom." Anyone have any new guesses on what they are suggesting?

I know that mass appeals don't seem to get much help. Nevertheless, we are at a crucial crossroads. 1. President Trump has issued his National Emergency Executive Order (available at the White House webpage) and is moving impressively toward bringing the high level evil doers to justice. 2. FREEPERS have historically stepped up to the plate--with Dillbo's impeachment etc. etc. etc. We need to again. 3. ransomenote needs help to prepare highly important information to FR and FR activists to better enable us to help our social networks take their red pills and to help them support President Trump in...

Osaka University’s Kazue Muta alleges that the princes in Snow White and Sleeping Beauty were guilty of sexual assault. “Stories about kissing a comatose person without her permission promote sexual violence,” Muta said. “This is the wrong message for children to hear. These men had no right to force themselves on these women. A better lesson would be a story where these men respect the women’s right to be left alone.” The University of California San Diego is weighing whether to impose disciplinary sanctions on Gregory Lu, a student who who put up posters of Kate Steinle (the young woman...

The year since the 2016 election has been dizzying. But would it have been just as dizzying if Hillary Clinton had won? A year into the scariest experiment the American Experiment has ever experimented with, here’s a glimpse at the alternate timeline that we just barely missed out on. Nov. 8, 2016: Madam President! The first female president of the United States, Hillary Clinton, wins the popular vote by 3 million votes and ekes out a narrow electoral college victory by winning Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, just like the polls all said! On Etsy, a million “Madam President” onesies go...
  • ‘Justice League’: Aquaman Fans Won’t Like the Movie

Justice League is gearing up to rake in dough at the box office. The film will bring some of the most beloved and iconic superheroes altogether. Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg, and (hopefully) Superman are teaming up to save the world from evil, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Following the stunning success of Patty Jenkins’ Wonder Woman, DC Films seem to have found its footing. Justice League will prove if the studio really has its mojo back or if Jenkins and Gal Gadot, who plays Diana Prince, are simply marvels on their own. Leading up to the film’s...

At some point in 2019 (if not sooner) a Republican Senator may walk into the Oval Office and say to President Trump: “Mr. President, we don’t have the votes,” at which point the Trump presidency will end in a resignation or a conviction in the Senate. This scenario actually occurred forty-three years ago this summer when Republican Senator Barry Goldwater walked into the Oval Office and told Republican President Richard Nixon that they didn’t have the votes in the Senate to save his presidency.

There's much more to Charm City than what you've seen on The Wire. Even as racial tensions make headlines in this famously blue-collar town on the Chesapeake, slick waterfront projects and farm-to-table dining have arrived along with a new, younger generation of residents set on building the place they want to live in. One native Marylander travels to the city he first knew as a kid to meet the doers and dreamers driving Baltimore's next act.

Hillary Clinton sits behind the resolute desk in the Oval Office, pulling out a large blue binder and a jar of hot peppers—her typical snack as the leader of the free world. It’s 9:30 p.m., and madam president spent the day successfully rallying House Republicans and Democrats behind a health care bill that will improve upon her predecessor’s landmark initiative, the Affordable Care Act. The bill passed an hour ago, but she isn’t anywhere near done fulfilling her duties to the American people. “I won’t be taking any more calls,” Clinton tells senior adviser Huma Abedin, who is walking toward...

Perhaps it was the way he arched an eyebrow. Or maybe it was the momentary twitch of his nose. Could it have been that barely seen curl of the lip? Somehow, somehow, we must see that Chief Justice John Roberts was critical of President Donald Trump in his commencement address for ninth grade graduates at Cardigan Mountain School even though his name was not mentioned nor was there anything that could be remotely interpreted as the slightest reference to him. Such desperation to discern criticism, where none existed, of Trump by the Chief Justice came from Los Angeles Times editorial...
  • 'Wonder Woman' Is One Of The Best Superhero Movies Ever Made

Out of the countless superhero movies I have to consume ever year (and have watched in my life), there are only a handful that I completely enjoyed and thought were masterworks of the genre: "Superman," "Batman: The Dark Knight." Now "Wonder Woman" has made that small list. Princess Diana of the Amazons starts out as a naive girl who dreams of being a great warrior like her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and aunt General Antiope (Robin Wright), but she is purposely being held back in her warrior training to keep secret an important truth about her. But when Steve...

No science fiction franchise has been more influential than Star Wars. (Sorry, Star Trek fans!) Over the last 40 years, the space opera saga created by George Lucas has delivered 1,062 minutes of lightsaber duels, intergalactic dogfights and dynastic drama. Even non-fans are likely to immediately recognize iconic imagery like Darth Vader’s helmet, the Millennium Falcon, or Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber. Which begs the question: of the hundreds, maybe thousands, to choose from which Star Wars moments are the best? The series, now owned by Disney, turns 40 on May 25. So TIME's entertainment team and sundry Star Wars super fans...

This week we don’t have Friday the 13th, but Friday the 12th will suffice. “King Arthur” is looming as a huge box office disaster for Warner Bros. The $150 million Guy Ritchie-directed adventure is getting scathing reviews. It’s only registering a 21/100 on Rotten Tomatoes.

There's nothing quite as frustrating as a bad movie ending. Failure to stick that landing in the final act can totally ruin an otherwise great film, or give us one more reason to hate one that was already a dud.
