I found out about the planned Saturday Orlando Pro America Rally during the week. A local Radio Station, W540 and local Radio Talk Host Shannon Burke organized and promoted the Rally. The Band Shell of Lake Eola Park in Downtown Orlando, Florida was the site of the Rally. Today I had the pleasure of attending the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo parade in downtown Houston and was impressed with the show of patriotism displayed by those in attendance. Everywhere you looked, American flags of different sizes were waving, people were attired in various patriotic type clothing, and for me, I got a great sense of just how much pride Americans have in this great country, save for the leftists who seek to make people believe their view is mainstream. Once again, five Mid-Missouri Patriots turned out at the Columbia Post Office to counter the message of the anti-war protesters. Zip, Prov, DogRobber, and BlueSage, with Freeper Timmy joining us for his first time, dressed warmly and held signs with messages for our troops (and for the protesters). A rally in support of the men and women of the United States Armed Services attracted thousands of participants. The event was held downtown at Monument Circle at noon on Saturday. "We want our fighting men and women to know we are behind them," said the event's organizer, Rob Greene. David McIntosh, a 2004 Candidate for Governor, also spoke at the rally. Other featured speakers include State Senator Luke Kenley and Indiana's most decorated Marine, Don Myers. Hoosiers from across the state attended the rally.
